he seems like a lovely bloke such a jolly face. Good luck Steve, you're going to need it.

Indon't think anyone takes the Dutch title seriously. Give over man.

It's likely this was more to do with the club releasing him than McLaren, since he isn't even in the job yet. The players have clearly stagnated under his coaching, his ability to take us from 10th to needing to win our last game of the season just to stay up, the embarrassing press conferences, altercations with fans and I think the cherry on the top for the club was bringing them back into a bad light in the way he told Jonas he was finished by telling Raylor to pass the phone to him. McLaren like any other manager/head coach would have asked to pick his own staff for sure, but I'm pretty sure he's not gone "You better get rid of that plank Carver, he's useless or I'm not taking the job". Lets not be too quick to praise a job well done for something he's probably not had a lot to do with. it was tongue in cheek, but it's a good start. if he's to have any chance of succeeding here (whatever that means) he needed to bring his own people in. I'm firmly on the mcclaren side of the fence though, in terms of giving him a fair crack anyway. so this is a positive start as far as I'm.concerned.

So what's the deal via Virgin? Is all the football by BT Sport still free? It is at the minute, I imagine that will change sometime soon.
-
I reckon they'll announce the Cup policy has changed. If they mean it or not is another matter, but I think they will.

Taking it The bloke clearly has ability. His record is mixed but he's had sucess and won trophies which is more that can be said for a lot of Managers. I'm going into it with an open mind and I'll make my mind up based on what I see on the pitch.

Oh and, title update

Finally. Hope Nice get a fair few games on BT this year.

Love watching Marcelo.

Carver's Angels at the last minute, no thanks. Quickest way to get fat b****** out of the club I think he's made it pretty clear he isn't going anywhere for a long time. I'd insert a smiley but I'm on my phone. Aye Ashley's word is his bond like. if Ashley wanted to sell, he'd have done it long before now. he isn't going anywhere.

What do you want people to do? A lot of people, like me, have walked away from SJP and wont go back until he goes or there is serious changes. So most are just discussing the appointment. I've said if he's given some decent players I actually think he might do alright - that's just my gut feeling. I dont understand what else I'm expected to do?
-
I've got a feeling he'll do well. Ultimately it will depend on what we do in the market though.

http://media.giphy.com/media/Ri7OGqOQ9u4uc/giphy.gif I think Yorkie's sig might be getting replaced.
-
More likely they've got someone lined up for the season after I'd imagine.
-
The only positive I can muster up is that I suspect he'll have the ability to get us playing something that resembles football again. I've no idea what his footballing philosophies are and everything you read about him brings mixed results. An utterly boring and uninspiring appointment if it happens but a lot will depend on the quality of player the club decide to bring in too. Would not bang.

Clearly the World Cup should stay with AFC, perhaps a staunch US ally from the region with recent experience in hosting this kind of tournament could step in... Aye, Japan all the way. Sick of s**** no mark countries getting the nod Walked right into that one To be honest the Americans hate the Japanese. Seventy years after the war and the Japanese still buy adverts on TV channels in the states to try and show they are no longer the enemy. What in the absolute f*** are you talking about. he saw the advert man!
-
Aye, its ridiculous to critisise him for not taking the three games. He'd have been a lunatic to do it.
-
like who though? Like Garde, Gourvennec, Jemez, De Boer, Galtier, etc? I assumed you meant proven as in premiership. but even then, any of those would still represent a risk but I get where your coming from in terms of having previously coached.
-
like who though?

Looking at it, he's clearly highly thought of throughout the game, you'd imagine he'd have the respect of the players, and youd think he'd want the game played in the right way. it's whether he can get that across on a day to day basis. I'd be happy to get behind him. blatantly going to be McLaren.

why can he fuck off?
