I'm not sure why his inclusion bothers me so much. As others have said, the fact that he's keeping Perez out is giving me blinding, lung-aching nightmares of the HBA situation where any and every excuse was wheeled out to keep him on the bench. While the likes of Gouffran, Jonas, Raylor, Gosling etc. all started ahead of him. And anytime we won, it was doubly justified keeping them in the team. I'm not sure the two situations are comparable, at least not at the moment. Dejong clearly has quality but at the.moment it's about getting him fit and building his confidence. Then, we'll have a much better idea if he's going to make it or not. Plus perez will come back in at some point, I was never confident that would happen with hba/pardew.

i This totally I've never liked the bloke and think he's been one of the luckiest guys alive to have had the jobs he has had. It could have all been different if that goal hadn't been disallowed against Man United when he was manager of Porto. Wherever he has been he's been playing fantasy football with an open chequebook and been able to pick from a squad steeped in talent. The ref, the linesman, dodgy decisions, the doctor ffs, he never ever gives the opposition any praise even when they have lost. Now it has been proven that when the going gets tough he has not got a clue how to turn it around, take that with the fact he's never around for anymore than 3 years shows to me he's never one of the greats.
