Well we’ll be about £30-£40 million better off for a start! (Assuming we don’t blow the lot on one player) There’s no decent argument for waiting until after the WC if there’s decent money on the table now.

So what’s happens if we spend £50 million on a replacement only for him to do his snap his leg at the WC and be out for 9 months?

Do you not think everyone involved wants this sorted before the WC? Waiting another 2 months will not help us one bit when we’re scrambling about to find his replacement. Then you’ll be the first complaining that we’re shit at signing players and should have sorted it earlier no doubt.

EH said it was because of the World Cup, quite a few players away, didn’t want to be travelling all over the World. Sure we’ll get some decent fixtures announced soon.

Interesting, didn’t seem too bad when I looked at what they’re done this season but again, wasn’t sure what their expectations were. As you say, everyone wants immediate success.

What are the expectations of that club? Doesn’t seem like he done too bad on paper, 4th, a semi final domestically and I think 1/4 of EL or conference, can’t remember which one.

Ive always thought he’d end up at Juve for some reason.

Absolutely no chance. Could see in his demeanour he was reenergised after the meeting with PIF. He’s already planning for next season.

If that’s true ( any links? ) it’s still not the purchase price/value of the club though.

Oh yeah I was actually there 😆 I guess the whole point of what I’m saying is that I’ve just found him a bit forgetful. Just never really stood out. But he’s played so little that’s pretty normal I suppose.
