  1. I don't know what Ramsdale is but he's not a goalkeeper. Every shot on target goes past him. The free kick there, maybe fair enough, but the one in the first half that came off the Chelsea player's arm was about a foot to his side and travelling at 1mph and he just dived over the top of it. He cannot stop shots.
  2. This is it for me. Success is relative. They may be delighted with him if he does to them what he did to us. And maybe rightfully so.
  3. So Ashley is refusing to buy 15 league points for a few £m. Not exactly screaming 'ambition', and giving a good indication of how the club will be run.
  4. Fucking hell, cruel to up this thread so close to Christmas - thought he'd croaked and we'd all got an early present.
  5. It's weird with Elanga because if as is being suggested he was taking free kicks and corners at Forest, that indicates he has a level of technical ability when kicking a football that he's just not showing with us. I can't reconcile how he'd be good enough to be first choice set piece taker there, but here he looks like he's never played the game before. In some respects that's a bit terrifying, but it also gives me hope that he's clearly not a total write off and there's some footballing talent in there. I'm just baffled as to where it's gone.
  6. Maybe I'm reading too much into the words, but that's not *I* totally underperformed, just 'underperformed'. It's like he is admitting fault on behalf of the team, not himself. The next sentence backs this up with "WE can only apologise", again, not *I* can only apologise or even better "I apologise". A nothingburger of a post, putting something up just to be seen to do so, but he's taken no personal responsibility. You could argue none of the other players have even done that I guess.
  7. Either the players aren't doing what's asked or he's not doing his job. Love the bloke and have no wish to see him leave, but he needs to get a grip of either the players' performance or his own tactics because one of those things is presently way below par.
  8. I'm not even mad anymore. Some derby defeats, if this is what it turns out to be, hurt. But I get the feeling after this one I'm just going to close my computer down and get on with my day. It's bored me to apathy.
  9. Ramsdale letting Wolt's tame backpass past him. Shocking.
  10. 61m40s for our first shot on (the opposition) goal. FML.
  11. Doesn't feel that high tbh! We're determined to just let the opposition do whatever they want and sit back until their attack hopefully breaks down. It's awful, and it's not working. And hasn't worked over a long period of time so I'm utterly baffled why we persist with it.
  12. We only press teams at home, we sit back and are all timid away. Our home form has been great, our away form has been terrible. If only there was something we could do to change this?
  13. Hopefully the idea was to tire them out first half and let them run themselves into the ground. That could create space for us second half if we've saved ourselves a bit. I realise I'm being either really kind or really generous.
  14. That was fucking dire. Think that's the first time I've seen a negative XG.
  15. But when they play at ours, they tend to play in red and white tops but with white shorts. Why can they do that, but not us? Or am I entirely misremembering their strip at our place? Seems like we always have to play in our away strip there, but they can just change shorts at our place.
  16. The Liverpool manager has pretty much said he wishes they had Murphy instead of Mo Salah, and we saw ourselves how Murphy made that perennial groin strain casualty look like a £120m player.
  17. Love this still of it. The ball is still in the air, he's already wheeling away in celebration. Nobody else has even reacted.
  18. I've got little interest in us playing a good footballer in nets who can't keep goal. I'd infinitely rather have a good goalkeeper in nets who can't play football. Really don't want him in goal vs the mackems. Aside from just wanting an actual GK in nets for a big game like this, they're not (to my knowledge) a high pressing high tempo team that'll pressure our back line, are they? In which case we need someone with Ramsdale's skillset even less.
  19. Did he miss training for 2 months though? I seen to recall he did train, but just on his own. He missed a few days or maybe even a week or so, but he trained after that by himself.
  20. IT IS DECEMBER You could say this in August. Maybe September at a push. But firstly he WAS training, just on his own, and secondly IT'S FUCKING DECEMBER. Are we still going to be hearing this shit in March? What about next September, will it be "But he missed pre-season last year"? When's the cutoff? Because for me it was about 3 months ago.
