There's a difference between reporting tickets of people who've not turned up through illness etc who might make up a hundred or so fans, compared to sticking 8,000 tickets in a skip, muttering "well someone might pick a few up?", shrugging, then adding every single one of them onto the gate. It's not so much what they're doing, but the sheer scale of it to the point where, as has already been said, their average price per ticket is about a tenner. Compare that to all the other clubs in the league.

This is the thing they'll either never get, or just never admit. Number of bums on seats (as we've found too) isn't proportional to revenue. And if they charged £45 for adults and £25 for kids like most clubs in that league, and reported attendances correctly, they'd be lucky to get 20k in.
  3. Pope is miles better than Dubravka. At least he's miles better as a goalkeeper, which is the main metric I judge my goalkeepers by. If you want the best footballer in goal, put Tonali or Bruno there. Yes, being competent with your kicking is a good bonus but it's getting massively overplayed by every team right now and the pendulum needs to swing back a bit the other way. Pope is the better goalkeeper, he should be ahead of Dubravka.
  4. Because, unlike us, they're allowed to grow their revenue.
  5. That's very close but I'd tweak it a bit. When you examine the loyalties of those complaining, what they're really saying is "We need rules that hand a massive advantage to MY club because without them it could potentially hand a massive advantage to OTHER clubs" They've tried to pull the ladder up but now noticed that someone's holding onto the bottom rung.
  6. Hopefully getting torn a new one today means we'll not see this formation again. Rather get it out the way today than at Wembley.

It's the constant teasing. If there was just silence I'd not care, but they're always teasing that they're looking at things, that they're exploring options etc but absolutely nothing then comes out and I think it's been years at this point? Just tell us or shut up. It's genuinely boring now.

Honestly I'm so fucking bored of waiting for the announcement now.

"Plastic" only applies to mags and refers to anyone who started going post 1992. Even though that was thirty three years ago.

Depends if we're talking about the opinions of the people of Newcastle vs the people of Sunderland, or taking a wider view? I get that football's a global game with global supporters, but when I say "we" to mean the fans of Newcastle, I don't include everyone with a keyboard and an internet connection who's just switched to us in their 30s and started hurling abuse from another continent, when 6 months prior they couldn't find Newcastle on a map.
  11. I could actually see either/both of these things happening. Which would be amazing.
  12. Next Villa match, we need the whole ground to shush Emery. Everyone. Every time he stands up in the technical area, 52,000 people putting their fingers to their lips and going "Shhhhhhh!"
  13. So the accusations are that "During the first half, the NUFC assistant manager, Jason Tindall, on 3 or 4 occasions was waving his finger at “shushing” our Head Coach, Unai Emery" then "Mr Tindall on the 85th minute reappeared within the tunnel wearing a WHAM jumper joking around with other members of Newcastle United’s staff." That's absolutely laughable shit from Villa. "Oh no, someone shusshed our manager then WORE A JUMPER!". Like, they actually wrote that out, read it back, and still decided to send it? Villa then accost him mob-handed and.... "The Commission considered that, given the level of provocation he had received fromthree members of the AVFC staff in the passageway, including provocation from UE, the opposing team’s Manager, JT had acted in a remarkably calm and controlled manner." Absolute bunch of melts.

    Find The Mackems, Shirley?
  15. Sounds like a feature, not a bug. Everything worked as expected.

I don't get the "please not another bowl" crowd - What shape do you want it to be, triangular? It will be a bowl. It must be a bowl. What kind of bowl is important though and I want steep sides behind the goals, with big blocks of seating a-la Dortmund. Plus a low roof over those ends, something designed for acoustics to push the sound out onto the pitch. That's all I ask. They can dio whatever the fuck they want then with the corporate stuff or the stands at the side.
  17. If it's Trippier and Burn at fullback, that's not a lot of pace. Also, Burn at fullback.... That said I do like the idea of Hall playing in midfield and dropping back to help out like Joelinton does. That could work.
  18. And when was the last time we played 5 at the back successfully?
  19. Yeah I'm a big believer in playing your natural game, play to your strengths and make the opposition worry about you. This reeks of trying to defend for 90 minutes which is going to be grim to watch and if they score, we're fucked. Hope we offer a threat up the other end. 90 minutes with 10 men behind the ball is going to be a awful. Can imagine Arteta and Arsenal now think we're scared and will be well up for it knowing they can just send wave after wave against us. Hope I'm wrong of course. I'm an eternal pessimist.

As I've said before, if we've finished 4th, 7th, and then maybe top 6 this year we've every right to sign deals of the magnitude the other 6 have and just tell them to eat shit. If we're averagint a top 6 position, we have a right to do top 6 deals even if they're related party deals.
