Putting aside any discussion of ethics re Saudi, if he wants to be taken seriously as any kind of impartial journalist on the club he can’t be in the pockets of the owners. Eg if he was to defend the owners’ decisions. Prob not arsed about that though

I hope the players really got a sense of what they've done and what it means to us, if they didn't already. There's some overly-sentimental guff about us in the media sometimes, but I really think we're special in what the club means. The one club for a football-obsesed city is a big part of it.
