I reckon the current 3 are down like, though curbs could turn it for west ham

I'm not a carr fan, but with nobby out he has to play
-
We don't need a right back. Nobby's the man for the job.

I want a new striker, and would love to see ashton or bent here. But will that happen, as hes not going to drop martins or owen?
-
Mark Hughes, a pathetic display of whinging...

He drags him to the ground! For god sake! -
You seen oliver's report on him? The one titled about butt? How martins was no help at all in the second half and some other crap that makes me think oliver's got something against him
-
I honestly cant see a case against henchoz's red. He grabs the guys shorts and legs as he's falling! It's a proffessional foul! You do that anywhere on the pitch and it's a yellow, do it in a goalscoring opportunity and it's a red! Simple! And how can you possibly make a case for offside?

Yeah, I was thinking much the same meself.... The righteous moral shock horror brigade are damning everybodys eyes and tutting up a storm....some people do forget theres a real world out there sometimes, eh ? I believe it's you who has forgotten there's a real world. So fine, you like a bit of the old racism. Football violence as well is it? Do you miss the old days? Bring a bunch of bananas next home game, that's always good for a laugh. I know I hate over political correctness, but i suppose anything critical is 'PC crew' antics. "Nout like a bit of racism, good for the immune system" eh? It's idiotic, and if you think it's tolerable you're clearly an idiot yourself.

The worst was Ventspils away. Was a crap game, so what i would estimate as about 40% of toon fans were joining in either just by clapping, or chanting. There was one particular guy 'preaching' a load of crap, and trying to get it into the mic. on the tv camera. The police were filming but doubt anything was done. It was really a large portion, but there were less than 200 toon fans there. Ruined the game for me. It was the day that all that came out about the UK - US plane bomb plot

Of course it's ok to be a toon fan! But don't brand "us" as christians. I'm not a fan of christianity (or religion in general) at all

I know. When bellamy was here and doing well, he wasnt scoring that often really. He was contributing a fair few and creating them for his partner. Owen would be the main scorer, with martins getting about 10 and helping owen Can we keep 3 such strikers happy? Owen's class, martins needs games to build and he's not going to be dropped at 10.9 million. Where does the new guy fit in? I want a new striker, but preferably a young one that'll put up with sub appearances and replacing injured strikers (which wont be uncommon).
-
I was so happy for martins yesterday. I know he has to improve, but i really think he'll come good. He's only young (younger than ramage - who people excuse, and so did chopra), showing promise, and i really think he cares. I loved his celebration so much yesterday too (not the jumps, but the badge kissing)
-
Are we really going to buy a 'main' striker. Remember we have owen. So 1 of owen/martins/new guy would be getting dropped, and i doubt either martins or owen would be dropped.
-
Disgusting, but i never heard it ...
-
Taylor shouldve kicked it for a gk, but i dont see what it has to do with emre's thing. Respect for coppen V (down)
-
I loved martins' second celebration. Right in front of the toon fans kissing his badge loads taylor, i wasnt actually sure it was him that scored at the time, as i thought he'd run over to us. Good to see all 10 outfielders celebrating with martins for first.

He was great today. We were in a bit of a state after their goal but uncle nicky calmed things down, linking up with the defence brilliantly and getting stuck in eerywhere.
-
I like pearce very much to, as a player/manager/guy. Im not sure i rate him as a manager, but his honesty is great to see. Instead of whinging like mark hughes and coppel (who i previously liked).

They reckon we havent sold 2000!

Impressive list of transfer I have to say. Transfer Involving Established Players Xabi Alonso - £11 million - Hit Mohammad Sissoko - £6 million - Hit Pepe Reina - £6 million - Hit Daniel Agger - £6 million - Hit Craig Bellamy - £6 million - Potentially Hit Peter Crouch - £7 million - Hit Dirk Kuyt - £9 million - Hit Jan Kromkamp - Free - Hit Robbie Fowler - Free - Hit Bolo Zenden - Free - Hit Mark Gonzalez - £4.5 million - Miss, so far. Jermaine Pennant - £8 million - Miss, so far. Fernando Morientes - £ 6 million - Miss Josemi - £2 million - Miss Mauricio Pellegrino - Free - Miss Antonio Nunez - Free - Miss Transfer Involving Relatively Unknown Youngsters Scott Carson - Massive Hit Miki Roque Gabriel Paletta David Martin Besjan Idrizaj Jack Hobbs Paul Anderson Godwin Antwi I admire Benitez's transfer policy. He too makes mistakes (no one is excempted), but no one can fault him for buying Morientes at £6 million. Pellegrino is free, nunez is free, and Josemi cost a meagre £2m. His biggest mistake could be Jermaine Pennant, yet he is still young, decent and has the potential. Gonzales hasn't done anything of note so far, yet he has every ingredient to be a success here. Glenn Roeder, could you please do the same to Newcastle United? I certainly think that you have the potential, but you are over-cautious and can be too stubborn for your (or our club's) own good. Also, please address the positions in need, instead of buying someone we do not need. Oba Martins - £10 millions - Hit. Antonio Sibierski - Free - Hit Pavel Srníček - Free - Unused Olivier Bernard - Miss Duff - £5 million + Huge Signing On Fee - Miss That's pretty unbalanced. Duff's a miss, and he's played how many games? Whereas bellamy's a 'potential hit' and the mockery that was krompkamp and sold 4 months later is a 'hit.

Given Solano Taylor Moore Ramage Milner Parker Butt/emre/dyer Duff Dyer/martins Owen

Our recent bad start is easy to recove from, realistically we could get 6th place based on the gap, however we lack the consistency. A cup win and mid table finish would be amazing though, and imo would far surpass european qualification.
