  1. Absolutely fucking dreadful tonight. Doesn't deserve a place
  2. They just look so slow. When they get the ball they give Sunderland time to get back. Sunderland are getting it forward as quick as they can. Not loads of quality but much quicker than they have been
  3. Not sure if it's Sunderland looking much better or Spurs being completely shit. They have nothing about them except Kane
  4. This. Give him more than a few games ffs. It comes with the territory of wanting an aggressive striker. He will come good. Lad in front of me saying too slow and liability and other pro's told him he was terrible. This season is about patience. All change and tbh looks promising early on.

It's because they have awful fans and pink seats. It makes them look outwardly at other teams. I work with a few of them that go for fucking afternoon tea on a Saturday, don't even bother watching any of it and then chat shit about their team each week. I watch them play more than they do

That's what I don't get. Prior to Bent - ie when you got relegated at our place - all half and half badges nonsense on there, cringemaking stuff. Then we buy Bent and they absolutely hate us. The fact of the matter is, they didn't have to sell Bent. It's not like it was a John Stones situation with mega money being offered. We offered the money, they took it. Also, while the Bent thing was going through, the internet was awash with Sunderland fans saying "OMG! But we are in the top six and Villa are in a relegation fight! How can he leave!" as if being in the top six in January means you're a top six club. Only for us to go on to finish above them. Despite them having what was probably their best top flight finish in years. Their crowds are quite impressive, but then again, they're one club I've heard mentioned numerous times as giving an absolute s*** load of tickets away every game. Don't worry mate, we despise the horrible cunts as well. They call us deluded but i'm fairly sure it's them that are. They also have a massive chip on their shoulder and spend more time obsessing over other teams than over their own squad of shit
  7. Obviously hope he does by next Wed as well :-). It is starting to look much stronger in attacking sense and can't argue much with the work being done so far but defensive mid and defence needs sorting / organised to give us a solid base. Not many teams below top 6 have ability we have going forward but we need to show it. Mitro, Cisse and Perez surely have 20-30 goals in them and then we have Thauvin,De Jong, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Aarons that should produce around 20-30 goals as well. Hope our defence can improve
  8. What match are you thinking would be? We're at home to the essentially possession winners of the league. We need a dude like SDJ in the squad. He isn't quick enough as we'll be generally playing on the counter when we do get it. I presume it will be Thauvin in for Obertan and Sissoko in for Perez from the last game with Anita the deeper one in a three with Colback and Wijnaldum with Wijnaldum hopefully having licence to attack when we get it. It's a tough one because you know Perez will work hard and always follow his man which will be important against the Arsenal full backs and he will also keep possession but Sissoko is probably our best player and Thauvin has to start after his performance last night you would think. I'd prefer Sissoko in the middle instead of Colback but can't see that happening On current form it has to be Sissoko and Wijnaldum in the middle of the pitch with Perez and Thuvin as the wide players. You cant have two midfield players in Colback and Anita who will only play 5 - 10 yard balls sideways and backwards and without the physical presence also. Personally I would have Tiote in the defensive midfield spot as he has the physical presence to win the ball but if he is not, then out of the other two Anita would get the nod over Colback - I put money on now though that both Colback and Anita will play meaning Perez will be dropped as it looks like Sissoko will be back and in my opinion that will be a shocking decision. Tiote is too much of a liability these days. I used to love his physical play but he is slow, fouls all the time and can't pass the ball.
  9. Fans of other clubs and media really have no idea do they. All we want is a team that has a go. I would love to win the league but realistic to know the gap in quality and finance is likely to prevent this.
  10. I do think we will get something. Just trying not to get hopes up. Things seeming quite positive but need first league win
  11. Need Mitro to start as an outlet if we struggle to pass ball around, more chance of him holding it up. Prefer Sissoko or Wijnaldum beside Anita and try to boss them physically.
  12. Nooooooo not Willo man des :-) nice we are scoring a few for once
  13. Need to keep back 4 if we can to try and gel as a unit. Get them to focus on defensive shape rather than any attacking.
  14. Aaron's, De Jong, Thauvin, Tiote and Mitrovic all need games and are good enough players. Reckon wijnaldum will start with Tiote in centre.
  15. Lascelles hasn't even been mentioned for weeks. Bit strange, surely can't be worse than Williamson

Can't believe people don't think it's the absolute priority for us to close up shop for the next few games, get them used to bring solid and not conceding hopefully while grabbing a point or two along the way. The alternative is mental, we'll get torn to shreds in at least 3 or 4 of the next few games and we'll be in tatters at the end of it. Confidence will be in tatters if we get a few hidings. We absolutely need to work on shape and closing gaps when opposition have ball as we look clueless. We need to hunt in packs to force mistakes and be ready to counter. We give teams too much space across midfield and allow them down the wings. When we lose it Colback and Anita should work either side with full backs and wijnaldum should drop in centre with wingers closing down full backs.

He's scored 4 in 2 games in the league he is playing in couldn't do any better tbh. He's a young lad that needs games and will be playing against physical players. It will be good for him. He is quick, mobile, appears to have awareness. Problem for him is height but that doesn't have to stop him. Sick of the negative s*** about our young players as if they have been given a chance. He's 18 ffs Fair enough, but there's a reason why everyone is negative about our young players. I can count on one hand the ones that have made an impact in the PL the last 15 years. I get what you are saying but need to give them more than 20 mins here and there. We have had Taylor, Krul, Carroll, Dummet, Forster and Aaron's looks like he will make it. They are all average to good. We need to be producing a lot more but have to get the right setup and get on loan for a season.

i think it's going to take time to put any sort of style in place and right the wrongs of Pardew. What is clear is that we are trying to pass more and retain the ball but it's not quite working. Defensive and organisation is major concern as we seem to get ripped open and too many gaps

He's 18 ffs Please do name the other few who have went out on loan and looked head and shoulders above the rest of the league... Oh not many. Probably only vuckic at Rangers. But we have hardly given any much of a chance. Campbell went out and did nothing. We rarely loan players for a good chunk of time though tbh.

  21. He offers the square root of f*** all going forward though. I don't think he was terrible yesterday by any means, he was just his usual bog standard 6/10 self. He does currently but wonder if it's a confidence thing. He's not shit on the ball, just not an exciting player pushing forward. He has goals in him which we have seen but never gets in those positions often enough
  22. I thought he played quite well and I don't like him. Nothing amazing but calm on ball and gave other players a platform to attack. The biggest issue I have with him and Anita is not enough presence and defensively all over like the defence. Although both looked much better than Tiote who slowed it right down with no technique at all. I reckon Colback would be more effective if he pushed forward more. He's not shit on the ball, retains well and consistent distribution. When he pushes forward he tends to create something
  23. there's currently three ahead of Williamson though, if cisses sold Austin is pretty much essential. The other 3 are terrible as well though. Mbemba may be great and Colo can be on his day but the rest are dross and Lascelles looks a bit of a calamity so far. Rather be tough to beat and rack up a few draws than be humiliated again and again due to sheer incompetence at the back.
