That's probably a plus for them, they can get rid of some of the s**** that has them in this position. The real problem for them is that they still have s**** players on contract and they're stuck with them if they can't find a buyer or a club to loan them to. They will be replacing virtually a whole team and trying to gel, they will likely lose ground over first few weeks and unlikely they will have the quality and mentality to go up first time. It really could be awesome to watch but I will focus most of my time on the top league rather than lower league minnows :-)

I'd rather we spent our money on fewer good players than more average players and I expect that Rafa will do that as he knows he can build on that later. Stabilise us this season and then kick on from that. We've got a manager who is capable of putting proper foundations in place and we have to take advantage of that. I hope to see him working on the kids and getting that setup right so we can bring players through the ranks. couldn't agree more, he will know as well as anyone else that we're looking at a 2-3 year period of stability and building to become a proper football club again given what went on before slow and steady, if something else happens along the way then great 2 first team upgrades can make a massive difference to rest of the team. Look at Clark, Ritchie and Gayle

We need 4 maybe 5, but wholesale selling players is too much. It has to be incremental change to try and stay up. We need a striker, A good striker is what keeps you in the league, whether that's Gayle or someone new. We need someone to complement Shelvey/ Hayden, A centre half and a winger. These would be big upgrades on what we are at the moment. We probably need an attacking midfielder in there and it would be great to get a new left back. Low priority for me is right wing, right back, keeper and left back as I think we have enough there if we improve further up. Unless we can upgrade on Shelvey then he starts and possibly someone more experienced than Hayden initially. We need a quick left winger that gets in behind and I would say a big mobile striker whoever the hell that could be. Hopefully we can bring in a few younger players to complement the first team and push for a spot over the season.

The worry is we don't know if Gayle will do it in premier league so a starting striker is a must

I would say as a 22 year old with his first proper season in first team he's done well and has grown over the season. Good technique, defends well, covers ground and tactically adept bodes well under Rafa. Hopefully he can impose himself more in next couple of seasons. Young, British and not a complete clogger - he must despise that Ginger cunt
