I actually really enjoyed that game. Showed we can compete with pretty much anyone. Draw was a fair result but if anyone edged it it was us. Tote, Colo, Jonas were all class. Obertan is so wasteful. Ridiculous pace, ridiculous decision making.

Apart from a couple of silly decisions he looked alright. How quick are his feet!

Only Pardew will really know as he will be seeing him in training. If he's fit and looks ready, despite a lack of true match practice I'd start him.

People who hyped him up are idiots tbh. Hasn't shown Premier League quality once. Well most of his hype came prior to making first team appearances - when he was scoring lots for the reserves... so it's understandable that there was hype.

Erm... So who does him going out on loan leave us with as a sub centre midfielder It's a tough one but I think I'd rather have him on our bench than out on loan tbh providing he can get game time in the reserves.

Strange, out of the three (Colo, Tiote, Simpson), I would say Simpson was the quickest. Looks quite quick when he gets going.

I'd just start Marveaux on the right to begin with and see how it goes. He looks like he has a lot of technique so I imagine he'd be quite decent cutting inside. Didn't he set Cabaye up for a chance from the right against Villa late on?

Wasn't that Tiote that lost the ball because of Obertan's stupid flick? I think Colo ran across the back line looking for a pass but couldn't find one so ended up on the right touch line. Think he took a knock as well didn't he because he stayed down.

I only saw the second half so didn't even get the enjoyment of the first.
