Ben Arfa, Tiote, Barton. They all meant so much for varying reasons.
-
I'm sure you could drop kick players in Adidas Power Soccer.
-
Centre Back either cover or first choice partner for Colo, a right winger and another forward. Add that to a replacement for any player we sell other than Smith, and one of Shola/Loven (we need four strikers).
-
Agree with that. Would agree too, based on the squad as it stands in the here and now. I'd have him in there with Cabaye/Tiote, while having Ben Arfa/Marveaux outside of Ba. However, as Nut's argument/my argument goes, we don't appear to have finished bringing in attacking players. True. I most certainly want to see what Marveaux has to offer, but whilst I have my reservations over how effective Jonas would be on the wing in the formation we appear to be taking on, I'd happy see him getting games. He is frustrating at times but when he's on his game he's class. So good at dribbling. The second half of this season in particular he was impressive. His end product improved as well for the most part.

I could quite easily see a midfield 3 of him, Tiote and Cabaye, particularly in tough away games.
-
He's said he won't put in a transfer request. I think what he has said is enough for Spurs to realise there's no point in keeping him. Mind you, I could see Redknapp being a stubborn bastard and trying to force him to stay.
-
I believe he was linked with us in January and then Liverpool supposedly came in, prompting us to give up on him. I'm sure there were positive comments about him back then.
-
He's a left winger, can't say I've seen Nolan bombing up the wings for us in recent times
-
I still am, really looking forward to the new season now. I'm confident we'll bring in more players.
-
But 5 years is a risk for a player who has missed 3 out of the alst 5 seasons with injury. It's less of a risk if it's a 2 or 3 year deal. I'll agree with that. I guess my point is that there seems to have been a tendancy for people on here to work out how much which player has cost the club how much etc when the figures being produced are probably the norm for most top tier clubs in Europe. Admittedly for certain players it highlights just how much of a drain they have been on resources, but I think it highlights more just how much money is spent in football on wages.
-
It's still early doors. As people have said it looks like we seem to have a plan this time around. Hopefully your point is recognised by those spending the money
-
I think it's a bit silly accumulating wages over the number of years the player is at the club and then being shocked at the figure to be honest. Every single player is on a wage of sorts, and even the lower earners are an x million pound investments that every team has to make.

Bargain!!! Looking forward to seeing him play. Fucker always scored against me when I played as Hertha in FIFA.
-
I think I'll be more pissed if he goes than any other player.
-
He wants Ba, and another two in by the end of next, and then another two before the start of the season. Very optimistic, but promising (providing there isn't a exodus of current playing staff).
-
He is a massively underrated by anyone that isn't a Newcastle fan. Class act.
-
As a side note to what TT said above, I must admit I do feel like there is a bit of excitement about us at the moment, we seem to be after players that will most certainly take the club forward, whilst being realistic financially. Couple of shrewd signings and a bit of squad depth and the Villas and Evertons that aren't quite the obvious top 6 should be worried about us. Potentially exciting times.
-
Getting on, he's freaking 25! Same age as Cabaye. (if Wiki is correct....)
-
Not that it would be the only reason as to why there's no chance of us signing Benzema, but don't he and HBA have a history??
-
I think he's basically saying he's been assured he'll play but he knows that he can't take his place for granted.
-
I'm guessing he was asked about Liverpool then. He's hardly going to dismiss any potential bidders even if his heart is set on coming back to us. He's obviously, and rightfully just keeping his options open.
