Except it hasn't actually happened. Plus his first appointment of George Burley was an epic f*** up too. So just for a change, El Erudito is wrong. LOL. It doesn't change the point does it? Burley was hired in June, sacked before the New Year. His replacement, a managerial novice did an excellent job and was poached off the the following season. Parish has taken CPFC from the brink of relegation, a club in administration in the second level of English football. To a top half finish in the PL in less than 5 years. With about 6, 7 managers. He's been brilliant for them. You've had a go at me based on a small detail. For so many changes, the club has gone from level to level. Clearly had a trip to the pedia of Wiki

2-1, the Queen wears a pink hat. I'm on this big time.

Erushite to the max

Good point. You need players who are on his wavelength to get the best out of him, like at Arsenal. That flick by Lallana into the space that Wilshere was drifting into for the second goal was a case in point. The whole move all the way from Henderson and Townsend's little one-two deep in our half was sublime. To have it finished off with such a strike, I have to say I actually applauded sat on my sofa. Best England team goal for many a year.

What a fucking goal. Best England goal for years that.

World class Rooney again

Good approach play by England. Wilshire at the heart of it.

To be fair to him, he deserves to start on his England performances. He's always been bright in an England shirt.

Alukos sister is shite, 2-0 England now Carney.

Disagree here. I think our system is working well with Coleman and Brady getting forward a lot from full back adding good width It's very narrow though. Even Scotland are, but they're more accomplished centrally. I won't be watching the second half though, it hasn't entertained me enough to hold my attention.
-
Akin to watching Watford vs Wimbledon circa 1988. Appalling game with no width on show whatsoever. Tell a lie, Coleman is showing well.

Wondered what happened to Max Headroom.

Shot at him I'll get me coat. . . . . Nobody will get that. Feel quite antique that I did.

Must be why Ben Arfa didn't play for Hull too. Or maybe Bruce, like a certain ex manager of ours, prefers to play the graft players like Elmohamady out wide rather than have the creativity a Hatem would bring.

Norwich bound apparently.

That's unfair really. Maradona at Napoli was a special time. BSB were showing Serie A in the late 80s. Staple hangover curing Sunday afternoon fayre for me . Not to mention he played in an age when defenders could get away with hacking the shit out of players. One of the best I've ever seen van Basten was unstoppable on his day, but for the fact defenders persistently got away with cutting him down like a tree. Messi would have still absolutely thrived in that era though. His balance at pace is superhuman; the fuckers would be lucky to make any contact with him while trying to cut him down. Crying shame that injuries robbed us of Van Basten. I was fortunate/unfortunate to see him destroy an England side in 1988 in Dusseldorf, good grief that performance set Tony Adams back a couple of years, such was the level of his torment. Good point too about what defenders could get away with back in the day. Messi has been good as far as injuries are concerned, whether it's down to his training or the change in attitude towards tackling is anyone's guess though.

It is the biggest honour because to achieve a WC winners medal means you have to go from being a 4 year old kid or whatever interested in the sport, going into school teams, academy teams, representing junior national sides, making it into the first team of a club and becoming good enough to represent your country and belonging to a side that is good enough to win the WC. It is the ultimate achievement in football - from kid to WC winner. Its the ultimate journey if you like. It saddens me that the CL is of a much better standard these days. Messi is the best player of his generation and right up there with the likes of Pele, but he does need to win a WC and he needs to star in one and or a final with the result a win to be considered the best. I'm not a fan of Argentina, but for his sake, I hope he does it because isn't that what the game is all about? Well said HTT.

All of the momentum England had has gone by switching Townsend to the left. Sometimes Hodgson mystifies me.
-
Andros Townsend is a strange one. Better international player than he is for his club. Always looks bright in an English shirt.

RoI always have a good team ethic irrespective of manager. They're like the Crazy Gang of International football.

Desperate touch by Peter Sutcliffe, sorry Wayne Rooney.
