Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season
Incognito replied to LoveItIfWeBeatU's topic in Football
When he went on loan last season didn't he say he feigned an injury so he could get out of a ressie game,in an interview?? -
The man that is Sir Robert William Robson would have been 78 today.A man that was totally unique in the world of football.I can think of no other that was loved by fans, not just at the clubs he graced with his presence, but at every ground he took his teams.Yes,even the Mackems, despite a minority of scum chanting despicable things about him, recognised the love he had for North East football as a whole. We as proud Newcastle United supporters understand more than most, what a management genius he was.A man who lived for the game and also for our club.A man who was the perfect ambassador world-wide for Newcastle United.A man who was respected by everybody from the 5 year old kid watching football for the first time,to the most successful British manager of all-time.A man who literally had no peers in the game of football.A man of whom I was so proud to have managed our great club, not just of who he was,but of the magical adventures he led us to. My last memory of him was at his testimonial game, that despite his obvious illness,he still appeared,in reality to say his farewell to his beloved St. James Park, with great dignity.I don't mind admitting that I shed a few tears that day sat in the Gallowgate,as he was introduced to the two teams. Today isn't the time to reflect on the disgraceful treatment he received at the end of his tenure, but a day to remember the many good times he gave us. Happy birthday Sir Bobby,as my avatar says, though you're gone, you will never be forgotten.

Even they must be embarrassed by this now... Particularly as they haven't a clue what or where Radio 4 is.
-
Good to see you back CG,anyways.

I think the fact that you could speak French would have told him that you were living over there, we're not well known for speakiing a secong language. I've spoken to a couple of Germans in German and they were a bit shocked. You mean Erics and Jorman surely.

In Pardew-speak,that's black stockings and suspenders.
-
It's pronounced yogging. Or in Ribery and Benzema's case, dogging.
-
Ones that I've seen Shilton G. Neville Butcher Walker Pearce Gascoigne Hoddle Scholes Beardsley Keegan Shearer All-time you'd have Banks in,Moore, maybe Terry Cooper,Bobby Charlton,Jimmy Greaves,Finney, maybe Lofthouse.

I think Everton play decent stuff tbh.

Best has had purple patches throughout his career followed by long spells of mediocrity.Hopefully as he's growing older, his purple patches will swallow more and more of the mediocroty. It's really all about consistency.

I'd have thought Small Heath and surrounding areas would be the last place to be spouting that vile tripe. I did wonder how he copes living in Birmingham with an attitude like that. Knowing how thick some of them Brummies are,it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he wasn't African-Carribbean himself.

Williamson, after a few shaky games, played very well tonight.Credit to him,and hopefully his confidence has returned just in time for a revenge mission on Elmander and Davies.
-
Similar to Ron Atkinson then?
-
He was a fucking animal Him,Scirea and Tardelli together. Not forgetting Goicacheya?Terrible spelling I know. Those putting Cafu in really need to look at Junior,he was twice as good imo.
-
Good player mind.Especially for Sir Bobby.
-
 What a cunt.
-
Nail on head.Just shades Thierry Henry imo.,but only just.
-
Alan Brazil typified by this: Fucking numpty.

Even the 10 game thing is wrong....we lost at home to Spuds first up and then away to Coventry, before drawing at Manchester United. He's talking about the 1992/93 promotion season. Where we won our 1st 11 games including 2-1 at Joker Park and then lost at home to Grimsby. Ah I see now what he means.Of course we finished Champions that year.
