Hoddle was superb betrween 85 and 87 when Sir Bobby built the side around him.I dont think you can compare Hoddle with Gazza,2 different types of playmaker-i never saw a better passer than Hoddle whereas Gazzas main strength was taking on players.Hoddle was a proper free kick specialist too.In my opinion they were both great but Hoddle is the best i've ever seen.
