OK, fair enough, but progress can only happen so fast and we really need to appreciate the good times after all the shit we've been through. I just think it's an extremely negative spin on turning perennial relegation battles into 2 CL qualifications and the first trophy in a lifetime.

Watching the Wissa interview after the Isak one was crazy really. We went out of the way to allow him to thank Brentford, he was smiling and laughing, genuinely beaming to be here. Isak was quiet, they completely avoided any mention of Newcastle or the fact he'd just been on strike. Guess that's the depressing truth of life as a football once you get to the financial road that Isak has decided to go down. It's more like transferring an asset between two companies and really shouldn't be expected to have an emotional component.

I think this will be his one big move TBH, probably why everyone in his camp was so desperate to make it happen.

Anyway, I don’t care about Villa I just find it weird how we always think other clubs are doing better than us.

Miley is about our 5th midfielder and Osula is our 3rd striker. That means nothing in terms of who has the better squad. Who is Villa’s 3rd choice forward and 5th choice CM?

People idolised Villa before as well, then we went and finished above them and made CL and they gambled on loads of expensive loan players and failed. It’s weird.

It’s nonsense to me that Liverpool outplayed or bullied us or have come out of this winners is some profound way. They have more money because of the rules, we had a player with no professional standards who was prepared to make himself worthless to us in order to secure more money for himself. Even prepared to cost us millions by not qualifying for the CL. Liverpool are prepared to ignore this because it benefits them, that’s all. We have to sell because we can’t write off £100m+ and we can’t risk having a non-striker. Both clubs did what they had to do, Liverpool and Isak’s was just morally much worse. That’s it.

Hopefully we’ll always remember to abuse Isak to the greatest extent possible.

He’s not playing better, Burn is playing amazingly well. But Botman is a better player IMO. Nice problem to have, as they say. PS I never said we should be dropping Burn immediately, it’s just a shame that such a great CB has to be left out.

Yeah I guess, I’m just saying he’s our best CB. I don’t really think in terms of proving fitness - sometimes you’re injured and sometimes you’re fit. Of course it will be better when he’s been fit for a longer period.
