I like Micah, I find he generates cringe a bit because they other pundits are so stoked to be friends with him In isolation I think he’s pretty decent.

Lockwood Cup (10 year anniversary): 19/10/24 - Froggy's NUFC Homes win!

Low but who knows. -
Yeah fair point, but if they're going to have it then it should probably add some value.

Come and get me plea to Burnley?
-
Now you mention it, it feels like we almost never win a free kick in shooting position.
-
Some TV coverage rumbles along OK, then they just reveal themselves to be clueless with one or two comments. Will need to change fairly soon, with all the online pundits talking in detail about systems, stats, tactics, knowing everything about every player in the world. Then on TV you have people who grew up 20 years ago and just talk about getting it in the box. I guess the TV companies are either clueless themselves or they've judged that the fans don't really want intelligent analysis.

Yeah, where we are now is amazing, it's just a strange position because we have half a relegation team and half a Champions League team. Getting better all the time of course, but a real difference between the best and worst players in our squad.
-
Just the fact that most pundits have little to no knowledge of what they’re commenting on. Some of them don’t even bother to know what the rules are. Just being a player in the past seems to qualify you for any TV work you fancy, despite how shite at it you are. Watching on US TV is much better, although admittedly they’d probably irritate me too if I did it regularly.

Not really, there’s basically been no other viable option for the majority of the last few months.

I think for this goal he had his head down and kind of rolled the two defenders, they didn't even realise he was looking for a shot until he was already in space and letting it go. Not sure if it was deliberate by him but it was very deceptive.
-
Yeah, also think that Kelly should get a chance ahead of Burn. Hall is young though, so no real rush to play him every game.
-
I think Barnes could potentially be a striker TBH, but probably in a more dominant team. Otherwise he's just be too isolated and he won't enjoy physically getting battered by CBs.
-
Well the bit you didn't see was the best bit After the goal was when we looked poor IMO, before we were absolutely fine.
-
Think you could say the same about putting Hall outside of Burn.
-
I definitely wouldn’t call it a robbery. A close game where we managed to score one more goal. Nothing unfair about it.
-
Nah but you know what I mean, I was thinking we were playing decent and if we’d got to half time we would’ve probably just tweaked things, made a sub and won. Certainly it’s plausible. I’m definitely not a results-only person, I just think we tend to forget the decent periods and overemphasise the bad periods. Of course the ideal is play well throughout and then we won’t need to discuss this We’ve only played 4 league games, there’s no need to be drawing conclusions like we are.

There’s never a lob now, seemed to be everywhere in the 90s.
-
TBF to yesterday the plan could easily have worked. We looked like we were cruising through to half time with the only question being why hadn’t we scored. Then you get hit with a counter goal and the whole complexion changed. We do tend to forget the other possible worlds when something like a conceded goal happens.
-
Aye, following Gordon back into our half and hacking him down seemed to be their main tactic.
-
Completely agree, I'm fully enjoying the ride. Just talking about why we sometimes can't pass and retain the ball like some other PL teams.
-
Do you get an umlaut if you get Schar on the back?
-
It's tricky because Livramento has the potential to be really great and obviously Trippier has had his issues lately. But when he's playing well Tripps could start for almost any team still. He's class.
-
He'll start coming on eventually, just not in these tight games when the team isn't playing well. Fans would probably do that just as a punt, but professional managers won't.
