  1. Erm, really? Because they unsettled a mercenary player and greedy agent and engineered a move? After wasting millions on another striker beforehand? Not a typical business strategy IMO
  2. Yeah, it’s slightly annoying but no more than that IMO. We’ve got the players we needed in. Anything else is disaster. Really think it’s worth considering the situation where we hold absolutely to our prices for Isak and Wissa, end up with Wolte/Osula for a CL season and really jeopardise all the progress we’ve made. Perfect can be the enemy of good.
  3. I honestly don’t understand why someone would care if we’ve paid 45, 50 or 55. One is a great deal and one is robbery and there’s so little between them
  4. Well it does, we’re desperate for someone to score goals for us this season.
  5. Don’t be fucking stupid man. Jesus. Honestly we don’t deserve decent owners.
  6. It’s a great window TBH, if you factor in the chaos caused by Isak it’s incredible work to come out with a stronger squad and a lot of dead wood shifted. That said, the first team could well end up being slightly worse for a while, which is difficult to get your head around.
  7. He can play from wide as well.
  8. Said at the start of the window we could have a brilliant summer and still end up with a worse team. That said, squad is much better and medium-term the team will be just as good if Woltemade does well.
  9. Not very significant in modern football, if it means getting goals you desperately need.
  10. Everyone has risk, I was answering the question about which signings have upside. How many Swedish strikers have come to the PL and doubled their value? I don’t think nationality is really a big factor.
  11. Sure, but it was still a bold person who predicted he’d be worth double a few years later.
  12. Hmm, Ramsey and Woltemade I guess, can’t remember how much we paid for Thiaw. Elanga if he really plays well. Could’ve easily argued Isak had little upside when we signed him for £60m. Which is more now in real terms.
  13. Think as many as possible is the key point there. Not absolutely everyone ever.
  14. Not great but not a robbery.
  15. We also signed Woltemade.
  16. I'm raging about it as well, I just understand why the club have gone for this option.
  17. Course it does, I've said it does. We were in a lose-lose situation and we just had to make the best of whatever option we thought held most value for us.
  18. It's bizarre that the window stays open when the season starts but it doesn't stay open until the end of the first international break. No more league games would be affected. I'm glad it's closing like so please ignore that
  19. There are plenty of ways it could have been done, the point is they all carry significant risks or negatives for the club.
  20. I'm sure this is true but it'll also be a financial decision from the club. I'm sure they were all aligned in this case.
  21. You can't make something up and say it's madness
  22. On balance I think I'd rather have Jackson than Wissa, mainly based on Wissa's behaviour.
  23. I'd like to see Slot answer some questions about how he feels about Isak's behaviour.
