The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
AyeDubbleYoo replied to Rich's topic in Football
Even if we got two more points we could still do it. As I keep saying, I don’t want it to go to the wire but it looks like there’s no way around that now. -
It was a strange approach to just ask about individual elements of the badge. Helps the designers though I guess.

I understand nerves but we basically have done everything we could possibly do bar winning every game. There's nothing more we can ask. If all our rivals win all their games by multiple goals then we'll be in a conversation. Otherwise we're doing it. -

You assuming we lose to Arsenal? -
I don’t get it at all. Penultimate home game of the season, massive win against CL rivals, lovely sunny day. Enjoy it, I don’t understand how people can be thinking about beating the traffic or being first in the pub.

Yeah, in his interview when he arrived he said he doesn’t do strength training. He might not mean literally none like, but it was interesting.

Was she following the rules?
-
He was really good today, like really good.
-
Was very good generally, given every song is so fast that most people can’t keep up. The second half everyone got so nervous but I don’t really think any crowd in the country could avoid that with the way the game was going.

FWIW in rugby it’s not really to do with punishment, it’s just completely alien to the culture to disrespect the ref. Every coach tells you from a kid to call the ref sir and that everything he says is fact.

Pretty much everyone at the top of the league is rattled except us.

I think we might only need 2 draws now, not that I want to experience that. -
Pope's a really good goalkeeper apart from his passing.
-
The game in the final bit was exactly the sort of game that Barnes isn't good at. Defensive, niggly, aggressive. Not attributes he really excels in. Thought he was good before that, I would probably have brought on Osula for him towards the end.

I was just looking at Spurs and Manchester really. -

While you're right, that table is still very sexy. -
It was a hard second half but I’m sure I was more nervous because the prize of winning was so big.
-
I didn’t think we were forcing attacks though, we just don’t have enough players who love to keep possession and Chelsea had 3 £100m DMs on the pitch. There are many instances where Pope chooses not to launch a quick counter, I guess that’s tactical.
-
Shout out to the alt announcer who pronounced Osula correctly but called Madueke ‘Mad-Juke’
-
Feel like I’ve logged into the wrong forum Nervy second half of course but shouldn’t we all be going mental that we’ve almost made the CL?

Don’t mind the lineup at all, nice to see all the attacking lads in and no Willock. Trips a blow. -

I'll never really like Barnes on the right. -

I've thought a while that a win and 2 draws could do it, but obvs you ideally want the win against Chelsea to relax things.
