  1. Oh, it's up already: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00hmy2y/Total_Sport_04_07_2011/
  2. Nice thread lads, will listen back when it's on iPlayer. If anything, I'm encouraged that he went as far as to say he had any hope about Enrique. Everything else sounds pretty positive, I don't think anyone believed we would spend the whole Carroll fee on players anyway, despite waiting to lynch someone when it doesn't happen.
  3. TBF City are much more likely to be a Champions League/Premier League winning club now than when Clichy said that quote.
  4. Tend to agree, but I don't think he's considerably better than Kolarov and I'm surprised City with infinite wealth haven't aimed higher. That's what I basically meant... I don't think Clichy's a bad player but surely City should only be buying the very best possible.

Fuck me, I thought I'd seen it all.
  6. No? Go on then? Only Ashley Cole and Evra are better in this league. That's not bad for what is probably the best league in the world. Baines and Enrique are also better, and that's with 10 seconds thought.
  7. From which point of view? Obvious why City would want one of the best left backs in the league (world). On the other hand, Arsenal have been victim of a player wanting to leave, as we know there's not alot you can do when you have an unsettled player. I think that's the point, he isn't good enough to be in that bracket.
  8. Well we can't bring Shefqi back now Joey has dissed him on Twitter.
  9. I know, strange one. He has potential to be better than he was last season though, maybe.

I love replica tops and buy them myself, I'm not criticizing the idea of them - just the idea that it's ok to wear a replica jersey just like the players even though you don't play for the team (which in principle is a bit ridiculous really isn't it, I think so anyway, but as I said I love replica tops so no judgement here), but that by sticking a name and number on the back you're suddenly in a completely different ballpark for some reason, which to me seems quite petty. I've always thought putting a name and number implies some sort of hero worship of an individual player, which is a bit different to just expressing support of the team as a whole. I do think it's a bit weird when I see and overweight middle aged man with a name and number on the back, but I guess if you weren't allowed to love certain players then supporting football would be a lot more dull. I always receive the name and number on the back of the shirt. I am paying to wear what the players wear. The players have numbers on the back. Also, not everything I get is from the clubs I support, so it is good to clarify that you like the player. Fair point, I agree with the players thing. My Klinsmann 18 shirt is my favourite ever.
  11. His misuse of hastags is what winds me up the most TBH. #theyrenotformakingpointsJoeyyoufool
  12. I've got a PSG training top that's just plain white with the logo in the centre of the chest, still one of my favourite football tops ever. Their logo is brilliant.
  13. I think his point is that all foreigners are soft as clarts compared to the herculean presence of a born and bred Englishman. Can't say I disagree.
  14. I don't know what he's been saying, but like it or not Wilshere is not anything like the media draw that Barton is. When Wilshere's served time and assaulted team mates maybe the press will be more interested.
  15. Same, if he isn't going to stay for the rest of his career and help them win more trophies then now is the time to sell.
  16. Don't think anyone disagrees with that, but it's the putting it out in public that makes him look like a mental case.
  17. Quality replacement for Gameiro.

I stopped buying replica shirts a number of years ago but did invest in top from TOFFS last season that makes the odd appearance. I actually think the current strips look better with a name and number due to the large panel they have on the back. People should mention the back panel more.
  19. Only idiots think Parker had a good season. Hmm, not sure, what do you think?
  20. I don't believe it's as simple as that. I do believe some players have genuine affection for their club and try their hardest for it, it's just that their careers are short and when they get a chance to make some easy money and get a payrise they're obviously likely to take it. I think it's more complicated than saying "all footballers are just out for themselves". A player can have affection for a club/city/fanbase and still leave it for career/financial reasons. Everyone does that in their career.
  21. I hope you're right, I'm just hoping at the minute.
  22. IMO we may as well forget about Ashley selling the club, it's just not going to happen unless a sheik takes a fancy to us - and if that happens it won't matter how much debt we have anyway. Ashley is reorganising our finances so the club becomes sustainable and he doesn't have to subsidise us so much - that's it. So far we've done a pretty decent job of this summer, let's just see how it goes before we push the panic button. We're still fairly likely to get N'Zogbia anyway.
  23. When Zoggy moves somewhere else on a deal we should be matching, then I'll criticise the club. Until then people need to chill out, it's only just July FFS.
