  1. Might happen more in the future than it ever has before though, at least for those clubs without mega-rich backers.
  2. Surely he's just there because of the ego-boost of playing for Man Utd, and the money? I doubt he believes he's going to break into the first team.
  3. I guess not, surely someone else would have picked it up if it had.
  4. He'll cost about £9 million, I reckon. Nah, more like £7.4 million. 8.1?
  5. Steven Taylor needs professional help.
  6. Villa, Sunderland and West Ham are a bit scary as well, but I suppose no single stat tells the whole story.
  7. Doyle for quite a cheap fee, alongside another better striker signing, would be OK IMO. He doesn't score many goals but he works his arse off, runs into the channels and creates space for other people.
  8. Yeah, good angle on it. Also, if you went back pre-2006 I'm sure you would find us higher up the gross spending league. Also, for a full picture you would surely have to factor in the club's overall bottom line and some sort of analysis of its debt position.
  9. I don't think there's anything wrong with his discipline personally. If you take that aggression away from his game, then he won't be the same player. Plus as Gimp mentioned - at the moment he seems to get booked a lot for trivial things, it's not like he's intentionally going out there to injure opponents. He just needs to be a bit clever sometimes I think, not tackle someone when he could just block their path and protect the space. We miss him a lot when he's out, would be great if he could learn to get suspended less. I wouldn't want to change his fundamental nature though obviously, you're right there.
  10. We don't have many talented players who have pace and goal scoring ability though. I know, but that wasn't my point.
  11. There's no way I'm playing a video that looks like a Robbie Savage sex tape.
  12. I agree with Colocho on this one, Tiote does need to learn how to hassle a player without fouling him a bit more. Hopefully with a season of experience he will get better. That said, players go down far too fucking easily and a lot of his yellow cards have been very soft.
  13. Still gutted at missing out on David Luiz.
  14. He's proper talented isn't he, but I think we might be getting to the point where we have too many talented but mentally-dodgy players, especially if we sign Ireland.
  15. Haven't Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs sold more than us in that table? Oh, and Liverpool.
  16. He's a one-man advert for how wrong tweeting can go.
  17. You might be right there. i think mutually is the key word, he's a free agent if so Oh, can clubs sign free agents outside of the transfer window? As I'm typing I'm realising the answer is probably yes.
  18. For the same reason that websites print shit to get people to click, TalkSport talks shit to get people to call up. It's not journalism at all, it's controversy for the sake of advertising sales.
  19. There must be more to it than just terminating his contract by mutual consent. I can't see NUFC agreeing to that for any reason at all, unless we're getting something back.
  20. That doesn't make any sense. Why would we pay Routledge off now when we could sell him for money in the summer? Unless he's bought out his own contract or something, which seems equally stupid from his POV.
  21. Les Ferdinand is a better bet TBH, his TV commitments aren't as much.
  22. You are a fool. (Only joking, Shearer would be a sound idea)
