  1. Yeah, probably the most likely, unless he has long-term ambitions of managing Man Utd after Fergie.
  2. And his own desire for a fat new contract.
  3. Says exactly what needed to be said. Yeah, especially good to hear that we won't be signing him if he doesn't play.
  4. Those training tops really aren't flattering... the shading is designed to create a belly!
  5. Really like Park, his fitness levels are incredible.
  6. I don't think Leyton want it, do they? They just don't want anyone else landing on their doorstep and taking their casual fans. Not sure how real that problem is, but still.
  7. Would love to see Lua Lua get a fair go, he looked class at Brighton from what I saw.
  8. They know it will attract website traffic, that's my guess.
  9. Neither of you are far off in that assessment of Liverpool, it's basically just their strikeforce which now makes them 1000 times more likely to finish above us than below. even without their strikeforce i'd say the 9 point start they've got and our lack of strikeforce would do that. Oh yeah, now they've got a 9 point lead then fine, but most of that lead was built up after Carroll and Suarez arrived.
  10. True, it's a miracle he's got this many. But even 6 or 7 would be decent, providing we improve the strike force and HBA chips in with a few.
  11. True, but Nolan has loads and HBA and Ireland could easily get another 10 between them, if not more. I'm not suggesting we should be happy with playing a striker who won't score, that would be stupid however prolific the midfield is.

  13. Considering how many goals we've scored this season with an abortion of a strikeforce and HBA and Ireland injured, I wouldn't be worrying too much about goals from midfield.
  14. Well, for 90% of his day anyway.
  15. Doesn't he play for Sunderland? [/pedant]
  16. Sorry, I thought you were just a simpleton. Should I be offended now? Coming from anyone on this forum, of course not.
  17. Wise I suppose, we'll lose whatever we do so may as well protect him.
  18. You're an Ashley sympathiser sympathiser!
  19. Routledge isn't good enough, the only reason we are discussing him is we let him go without buying a replacement. Pardew put his faith in a couple of crocks in Gosling and Ireland and got caught short. I still think he's good enough for the Premier League. He just needs some work on his confidence... whether that will ever improve is debatable obviously.
  20. Who is he? Must be Larsson ... The deal with Larsson was done and dusted (until Birmingham did a 'Newcastle selling Milner to Aston Villa' style recall) so it's very likely he's the replacement. I'd be happy with that. Sell Routledge (who isn't a proven Premier League quality player) for a few million and replace him with Larsson (who is a proven Premier League quality player) for free. Isn't Larsson too similar to Barton though? If I was buying someone who would play on the right quite a bit, I'd want someone I could bring on to offer something different, pace, directness etc.
  21. I know NUFC don't seem to want him, I would personally just rather not sell him. QPR will no doubt want him, although ironically he'll be much less use than he was in the Championship.
  22. I would be well up for giving Routledge another chance, no idea why he was discarded so quickly. We could have done with him in the last few weeks.
  23. I AGREE, CAPS LOCK IS MUCH EASIER.
  24. You deserve one of these too, even though I hate to do it:
  25. Particularly pointless this time as Arsenal are already out and Spurs knew they were going out anyway.
