The media are always out for a story, I doubt they needed Mike Ashley's secret spin doctors to get the Taylor negotiations in print. I'm not itk but how else will you explain the wages being mentioned? Unless either party leaks it out we will never get clearcut figures like the 40k and 60k per week being mentioned. And it's to no advantage to Steven Taylor if such specific details leak out. Well someone might leak it, or a reporter might weedle it out... I just doubt it's some sort of orchestrated spin campaign. I honestly don't think Ashley can be bothered with that.

I'm pretty sure Shearer knows how to play CF pretty well. He's the one who taught Shola how to back into the defender and fall over.

Cantona is probably my favourite player ever. Even though he played for Man Utd and cost us the title, I just can't help loving the guy. There's a really obscure book called 'The Meaning of Cantona' which has lots of made up quotes from him, with poems and philosophical quotations and stuff. It's immense.

I'm confident Nile is going to do well for us. He's not the finished article, but who is at his age? For the limited amount of minutes he has had he's done OK, just needs a goal or two. We only have 6 injuries according to the physioroom table - one of those is Ben Arfa's freak broken leg, one is Shola's freak broken face and 2 were injured when we signed them. It's hardly a crisis, I don't understand what this thread is about.

Does anyone actually know anything about the medical team? Like who they are, how long they've been here etc? I only know about Derek Wright, but surely the guy must be about 70 by now?

I thought everyone in Spain ate/went out/did stuff much later anyway though?
