NUFC vs Stoke Pre Match Thread - Sun 26th Sept 4.10pm (live on Sky)

Don't think they do, there's been a load of different views about it. On balance, I reckon we've got a very good chance of getting a win. I know this is going to be a rollercoaster season, but form and confidence must mean something. -
Come on guys - we can raise the £250 plus VAT for the fixture list license!

Once again, Baba has it in a nutshell. I would like to have the fixtures on here obviously, but I don't think we should be part of the ridiculous practice of charging non-profit fan sites for them. -
The situation with the fixture lists is bordering on the insane, but I can understand why this site wouldn't want to take the risk. I would love to see the Premier League actually sue someone as a test case, but I don't think that should be this place!

Newcastle United have around a 6.7% chance of winning Carling Cup - discuss

Ruud Gullit won FA Cup with Chelsea I reckon. -
I think the opposite, seems a confidence player who needs to be loved to shine.

Pulis will deploy one of his thugs to make sure he doesn't. That's what his protection is for: -
Nobody can manage Liverpool out of their current issues by the end of this season IMO. They might have to take a couple of years of fundamental reconstruction to get back to their best. Their limited finances might mean they never can. Whoever's in charge, they're on the long hard road at the moment.

How people long for a 70th minute triple sub though. I loved those!

We're due a decent draw TBH, always seem to get shafted by the ball bag. -

Well OK, I'll rephrase... pointless looking at cups like this if you're not a bookmaker/gambler. -

Pointless thinking about cups like that really... just approach each game afresh and see how far you can go. -

Hoping we've learned that lesson from Blackpool. Although actually we could easily have got a result in that game. -
It's easy to forget that Winehouse was actually pretty gorgeous when she started out. Tiote saw to that though

Wouldn't mind away to Northampton or Brentford... otherwise home please. Never thought we'd be in the hat, so that's a bonus. -

I agree apart from that bit. -
I pretty much agree, if I was making the decisions I would play him most weeks. I'm starting to hate Nolan a bit less at the moment though, which combined with Ben Arfa means Jonas has to keep his performance levels high to warrant a place. (I'm sure there'll come a time in the season when Routledge or a.n.other is unavailable of course)

Yeah, as someone said earlier in the thread, I think they were trying to play with the relaxed attitude and super-confidence of the first team... unfortunately the second string don't have quite the same amount of ability. It could have been embarrassing for them if we'd taken a couple more of our chances and they hadn't had a non-penalty. -

aye he was excellent, as was McEachran when he came on. Also thought Paddy Van Anholt was dangerous down their left. rest of their side was shite, even the big names like Terry or Ramires. Totally, if Anelka hadn't been playing they would have petered out into nothing. Great player, love the way he drifts out into space then beats the defender back inside. -

I don't think Hughton will have thought about dropping Perch for R Taylor... there's very little reason to. -

I was thinking of this as well, Shola will certainly be on a high. -
Torres isn't the problem though, he's more a victim of how shit the rest of the team is.
