Mike? Imagine if the club did that! Not only a laughing stock of the footballing world, but also accused of exploiting the thick people who think they can be footballers. It would be like the X Factor auditions!
-
Im sorry but I cant keep repeating answers to earlier questions, its all there in the thread and in the info we've put up so far. Understood!
-
Aye, but if you have £50k a week coming in, you don't get a mortgage or any credit surely? You save for a couple of months then buy a house in cash, more than one probably.
-
Random question I guess, but how would the club support itself after the purchase? We know it isn't making a profit at the moment, and Ashley has put in his own money to take on debts. Where would finance come from once the club was owned by fans. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I haven't really been keeping up with this thread.
-
I think someone hasnt read any of the stuff, we would own 100% of the club You're right, I haven't really gone into it, seems a bit far fetched to me. Especially if we need to buy the whole thing. That's for the other thread though I suppose!

I guess the fans would still be minority shareholders, wouldn't they? Or is the plan to buy the whole club?

Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury

Seems everyone is ignoring the name change then. -
It's a tough one... what powers would I have? I'd like to start looking for a proper manager, to be appointed after the end of this season. I'd like to start properly looking for a buyer for Mike Ashley's share of the club, but I guess that would be beyond my remit.

Surely it's just as mad to wear tracksuit and sportswear when you're only watching? Mmmm...fair enough. But in that case does it matter then? why and how is a suit more relevant? oh and Phil Brown wears a suit so the less like that tw@ the better. Well it doesn't really matter, except the suit looks better. That's it really!
-
Crouch, not sure why I think this though. Gary Speed, although that's probably obvious.

Sounds familiar.

There's probably no other player in the league.

Agreed, I still think the name is a hideous error more than a calculated move to annoy us. A bit of a persecution complex creeping in I reckon, not suprising after everything we've been through.
-
Thing is, he's got an opportunity to reinvent himself here, say he wears a siut and gets us up, then we survive by finishing around 10th next season (unlikely I know). Suddenly everyone forgets he used to be a tracksuit wearing cone arranger, and he becomes a credible manager.

Must be so sad to have to give up something like that at such an early age. Real quality player when fit. Though does make you wonder whether some other players should have retired rather than struggle through endless years of injury.
-
I don't think it's been done to piss people off, it's been done though incompentance and desperation.
-
I've been a long time looker-on-the-bright side, but even my patience has run out now. Every decision seems to be worse than the last, and I don't see any reason to expect a sudden change.

Sorry, just the 'he looks fine' part.
-
Truth, I've only seen him a couple of times but he does look tricky.

Are you Newcastle's chief scout?

Teams that don't respect the poppy appeal?
AyeDubbleYoo replied to wrightstuff83's topic in Football
That's mainly because they're flash fuckers and like dressing in pink though, I imagine. -
Arsenal have a young holding player that nearly scored a beautiful chip against West Brom in the Carling Cup. Hadn't heard of him before, but he looked quality. Obviously Nile Ranger is the correct answer to the OP.

nope. games on rememberence sunday have. games on the saturday ? sure it's a very new thing. the poppies on shirts is,i'm sure only from the last couple of seasons. i know it was rhetorical but i couldn't resist. Nah, it wasn't rhetorical A minute's silence for Sunday games should be enough, we're falling over ourselves to revel in self pity and tragedy in this country sometimes, it's a bit sad really.
