I kind of agree, on the 'to replace' list Jonas would be right down the bottom, surely. Other than Enrique who I believe is definitely good enough for the Prem.
-
If getting her to think of the future worked she obviosuly wasn't a Hull fan.
-
Maybe, after we've replaced the other 5 or 6 useless midfielders though.

The camera adds two stone apparently.

Thats all a bit wishy washy to be honest. Its not as if we are celebrating him snapping both legs in half rendering him unable to walk for the rest of his life. The guy has sustained yet another niggly little injury in the circumstances which appear to be similar to those that made NUFC fans cynical of the little shithead in the first place. He deserves nothing less than total contempt from us - balances out for the total contempt that he holds for us. You think he didnt laugh when Blackpool beat us last week ? I don't think it's 'wishy washy' at all, whatever you mean by that. I just think it['s a bit sad to be looking out for injuries to a player who should just be forgotten about, and even enjoying them. I doubt he even looks at Newcastle results TBH.
-
Fair enough, just saying I don't want to celebrate someone getting injured. He's not our player anymore, forget about him.
-
I don't want to see any professional footballer injured... it's a stupid thing to celebrate. Yes, it makes us feel smug as we knew it would happen eventually - makes us look a bit pathetic though IMO.

I said this a while ago, it's against my nature to be too confident about Newcastle but there's only so long we can hold onto this false fear and modesty about upcoming games. We've played the 'best teams in the league' and haven't had many major problems... we have every reason to be confident. -

He's right though Roger, obviously if other teams were better we wouldn't be doing so well... but they aren't. -
Similar thing but no postage and packaging. sign up its free and great fun. Sounds good, but I'm already in two fantasy leagues and online Pro Evo. Might be time to stop joining any more games!

I used to play in a play-by-mail league where you filled in a team and tactics on a sheet and posted it off. It was fun!

"Geordie Blubbers" - More "tongue-in-cheek" Southern Journalism ?
AyeDubbleYoo replied to a topic in Football
Really? Never come across this phrase in my life, either spoken or in print, from anyone ever! Is that the best he can do? As windups go it's a desperate effort. That's what I thought, I've never heard it used by anyone ever. -

I've never read or heard anyone referring to us as blubbers before, or mentioning crying in any way related to NUFC or its fans. Seems this has just come out of nowhere and is total bollocks. Far too many opinion pieces online in recent times. -

One of a few clubs that is not named after geographical location. Erm, they are actually, Queens Park in North West London. -
I watched 'Just Call Me Bobby' on DVD last night, can't stress enough what an amazing man he was. Got the feeling he could have gone on forever...
-
I would like us to keep Simpson (maybe), Harewood isn't premiership quality and not sure about K-dog yet.
-
Sorry.

I am from south of the tyne, got to admit.

I'm not one of those by the way, I just think the song is stupid. While you're on your crusade you should remind people that the "Blaydon" Races were actually at Stella Haugh and stopped in 1916, so unless they're over 93 they are lying when they say they went there, and unless they are 147+ certainly didn't go on 9/6/1862. Not sure what point you're trying to make here. I'm not arguing that every football song needs to be ratified and fact-checked. All I'm saying is that everyone knows Ashley isn't a cockney (he isn't even a Londoner), so in my opinion singing that song does us no favours and I'd rather we didn't. I don't see why that's such a bad thing to say.

Believe it or don't, it's Carroll who has higher probabilities to succeed in EPL. Not doubting Ranger's talents but Carroll's aerial abilities is exceptional. You might be right, they both have that potential I think though, Ranger has held the ball up and won it in the air very, very well too.

Oh right, I'm meant to go "excuse me good sirs, I believe that 'football chant' you are singing displays some factual inaccuracies. Perhaps you would consider some revisions?" Then why are you moaning about it on here? Erm, because it's a message board for expressing opinions. Also, the ultras can't get me through the internet!
-
Everything depends on the club sale really... I doubt anyone will be offered the job long-term while that's going on. And if Ashley is doing the choosing, we don't want them to be.
