Cliche ridden. Maybe, but the only bit of that that's not true is that he doesn't score a screamer once in every 10 games... it's much rarer than that. What do you disagree with?
-
Once in every ten games would be an improvement.
-
I'm sorry he's in pain as well, but like others have said it didn't depress me to see him like that. We all face death sometime, and all we can ask is that it's with a smile on our faces after a life we can be proud to look back on. What Sir Bobby has achieved in his life is fantastic, and he clearly has the love of thousands of people... can't ask for much more than that IMO.

I've almost reached the same point as oldtype, there's just nothing to get into at the moment. I imagine when the season starts I'll just start following as usual, but at the moment I'm just trying to forget about the whole thing.
-
Not sure, at times it seems a blessing to support someone like Spurs who will always just plod along... and not give you any heart attacks.
-
At the moment it's awful... can't see how anyone can argue otherwise. In recent times though, it's been great - we've had some brilliant times that clubs like Spurs have come nowhere near.
-
Aye, respect to Hughton, he seems to genuinely want to do a good job. I've kind of forgotten that there's any prospect of Shearer being manager now... the takeover just seems too far off at the moment.
-
Are we talking about the January window, because there doesn't seem to be anyone to conduct transfers at the moment
-
I'm pretty sure it has black and white stripes, have another look.
-
Eh? Surely the patch is just to put a name and number on, and make it more visible? I doubt Ashley's fiendish master plan is to put a white patch on the back of our shirts
-
Don't why everyone is so obsessed with the patch, FFS it's a bit of white on the back of the shirt... what's the big deal?
-
Good point, I'll remember that when I make my selections!
-
Spurs should do quite well, it was their awful start to the season that did for them last year, if they can avoid that they should come in the opt 6 or 7 easily. Liverpool are very good but do rely on their two star players... Gerrard in particular. Arsenal have class but not sure they can put it together consistently enough yet.

"I know we're a shite club, and that's not something we can affect"
-
My god, Shola will become a good player soon? Why did nobody mention this before!
-
If I was a Galaxy fan I would be angry as well, but I'd hope that I'd realise where my club is in the grand scheme of things, and where Beckham is. The way I see it, he's made an error by joining Galaxy so soon and he's trying to rectify it. You might say he's selfish, and he probably is, but you only get on career.
-
He signed for them though. How can you not blame him? Owen didn't give 100% here, is that acceptable just because he wanted to be elsewhere? Fact is Beckham has treated that club like absolute dirt, and pocketed a shedload of money in the process. If he wants to play for a good club he should have thought about that rather than only thinking about the moolah when making his decision. Yeah, can't argue with that... if he doesn't want to be there he should keep it to himself really. In his defence, seems like he's always done alright for them on the pitch, and he didn't go AWOL like some players when they don't want to play for a club. Don't think he's actually done much wrong, except be honest enough to say he'd like to stay at Milan.
-
My initial reaction is that Beckham is a legend and a brilliant player, and Galaxy are a comedy club in a mickey mouse league... so if he would rather be at Milan I can't blame him. Like other people have said, he went to the US far too soon, really can't fathom why he did it when he did.
-
I thought something along those lines to be honest! I know it's difficult for them, but if they wanted to help the fans out they'd stay and bust their arses to get promotion.
-
Mebbe it's me being simple, but isn't it quite feasible to buy us at this knockdown price, get us promoted this season and get us sustained in the Premier League and watch our value go up? I guess so, if you could be certain of quick promotion and then a sale at in inflated price. I just think there are easier investments, and more profitable ones. Anyway, I don't object to an owner making money, as long as that is from making us successful.
-
I dunno, I don't think you can really buy a football club as a proper business investment, surely making a profit is almost impossible?
-
You've got to be joking... realistically she must be in the top 1% of attractive people on the planet.
-
That doesn't really make any sense, he was out of contract anyway wasn't he?
-
That's that cleared up then, cheers man
-
I agree with that pretty much, he was overpaid, annoying and didn't achieve anything for us... but there are another 20 or so players in the squad like that.
