  1. Well, Longstaff might lose his place. I agree though, it's mainly Willock's finishing that costs us time and time again. Hopefully he'll be doing extra shooting in pre-season
  2. I guess if they have a good season they might be able to get him to sign on again. From Kane's POV he's missed the optimum time to leave.
  3. Think it might be someone who can play in a couple of roles, I dunno. I know I always say this, but I'm not 100% convinced that we won't start next season with Miggy on the right.
  4. I think the all-round midfielder has come back in with the likes of Man City TBH. Even though Rodri sits deeper, his job isn't mainly to tackle people in front of the defence. If the team presses, you can't have a CM that sits back. And especially if you play a 4-3-3 and not a double pivot, it's a very difficult role for a single defensive midfielder. I have found it very interesting though, it's hard to get out of the mindset that a DM is needed.
  5. Wood has to be understood in the context to what we needed, when and who was available and would sell to us. Even though he was crap, the strategy was sound. Anyway, let’s stop talking about this.
  6. Without his ankle issue he’s going to be absolutely mega next season.
  7. Either way we definitely can’t bet on it right now.
  8. Is there a point where you’ll trust our transfer process, which basically has a 100% track record so far?
  9. Guess it’s fine unless you happen to get relegated and have to sell everyone. Couldn’t happen to Southampton, who never flirt with relegation
  10. £50m for a fullback from a relegated team with a long term injury would be some going like. Ironically Chelsea are the only people who would pay it.
  11. That’s how Ward Prowse looks now.
  12. He definitely wasn’t getting the most out of Zaha, Eze and Olise but I don’t know how much or a factor that was.
  13. Isn’t the sell on fee a percentage?
  14. The sell on clause is your business lads, take it up with past you.
  15. I don’t know how people think transfers work. Especially under a progressive and ambitious regime, we will always look for promising targets when they become available. And I’m pretty sure we don’t stop calling people about other positions while we do this deal. We are class, just have a bit of faith.
  16. I'm not sure about the split of ownership of Leazes Terrace, at least some of it is private homes. They came up on property searches when I was looking. Guess it depends which parts of the street we're talking about.
  17. I think most people agree with all that, but Burn could still be an area of improvement. Of course he has reasons for keeping Burn in the team.
  18. Even if we can’t shift them, we can probably afford to pay them not to play.
  19. In the short term this is the tempting conclusion, but I think this lad has higher potential.
  20. Thought he was absolutely class for a while.
  21. We absolutely can’t move out of town, it would destroy the economy of the city. As well as the unique character of the club. I would take a new stadium almost anywhere in the city centre, but we are already very short of green space so Leazes Park either has to be protected or moved/recreated.
  22. So many candidates for this.
