TBH I think we might benefit from playing 4-2-3-1 while Bruno is out. Willock is very untidy and not really a true CM anyway. Might be a simpler role for Longstaff and Joelinton to play those two pivot roles and provide a platform for the quick attackers we have now. Wishful thinking maybe, but we're going to miss Bruno badly no matter what.

I can see a point in the trust expressing that fans think our shirts are rubbish and have an opinion on what we should do next. Maybe hint at the potential market for the club if they do it right. Obviously they won't have power to make decisions on it.

I really think it makes at most a 5-10% difference whether we have Shelvey or not, if that. He's proven to be 'alright' when he's fit and in top form, which isn't often. He can't do anything at all to fill in for what Bruno offers, so I really don't think it matters that much either way. We can't just think about transfer windows in isolation. Sure, we didn't identify a CM that we could get on terms we're happy with, but we moved on someone who ultimately has no future here.

Head injury rules are way too sensitive now, it’s not like the guy is going to die if you wait until the next break in play. Players know they have a guaranteed way to get the game stopped. If you were really knocked out you wouldn’t be able to hold your face and roll about.
