  1. It's mad that we've beaten Chelsea and Man Utd with ten men and ran Barca close for 3 out of 4 halves, this month Football fandom is a strange, strange place sometimes.
  2. He’s never played as a holding midfielder FFS
  3. It would be a bit weird to be annoyed about someone else playing when you’ve had a broken leg all season.
  4. Obviously nobody knows the details but based on social media his wife loves the toon.
  5. Why would we need to do that?
  6. Gordon is very clever though and his movement is superb. Especially when in form. Aye he's quick and that's why he can press well, but he has much more to his game than that.
  7. I mean, one man can only stop so many attacks per game Fair he could be a bit more disciplined, would help if the team overall was functioning in that sense.
  8. I'd say the fact we can't make mistakes argues more for signing the likes of Elanga and Wissa than against, no? We have some data to suggest that between them they should contribute to roughly 25 goals and 15 assists in a season. Or maybe say 18/8 on the low end. I guess you have a point about the prices but I maintain that the price is only an issue because they haven't performed. Otherwise it would've just been 10-20m more spent to get proven PL players rather than risking a bit less on unknowns. FWIW I prefer sexy unknown signings and always will
  9. How is Gordon like Owen? I wouldn’t cry over it like Bruno leaving, but I think it would be a major blow to our attacking quality which would be hard to buy back.
  10. We can but we would need to buy extremely well to end up with a better attack after it. And if we lost Tonali we’d need to spend a fair bit just to stay still in CM as well.
  11. Dear me You could almost put the season down to just that TBH.
  12. I really wanted to know what Naglesmann thought about Howe's job
  13. I do think we underestimate how much protection Tonali offers us. I'm sure his ability on the ball would improve once the team finds better form and he gets Bruno and Miley (and/or new signing) back around him. In theory we could find someone for the role I guess, that young Spanish lad linked a while back sounded promising.
  14. I mean, based on this season he hasn't been great, especially with the ball. But you have to assume he's a better player than that. Whether he should go with Italy I have no idea.
  15. Last sentence is a bit simplistic, but agree generally. Wissa should've been an overpriced but reliable transfer, which you could easily argue was justified given our only goalscorer was going and Wilson also unlikely to stay.
  16. I won't post this every day but I really think we can only afford to sell one good player. Ideally none, but if we have to. Tino would be my choice because he will go to a club that are not a rival and should cost a lot of money due to being English. Also serviceable FBs should be slightly easier to find. If we sell Tonali and/or Gordon then we've got a massive job on just to stay still in terms of quality.
  17. But remember he got fuckloads of money, which was probably the main reason for forcing the move now rather than waiting.
  18. Yeah, but it's the same transfer decision is the thing. I know you're constantly updating your score, which is fair enough if that's the idea. But I also try to think of the explanations behind the signings to rate our actual process rather than just the result. If you're rating the Wissa signing at the time it was made, I would say it's a bit expensive but easily understandable. And there was no way we could have expected it to go as badly as it has, even though some people would have made a different call.
  19. Wissa was meant to get 12-15 goals I'm sure.
  20. Surely no teams are going to pay big fees for the likes of Isak and Wirtz after a poor season and massive injury? Nowhere near what Liverpool paid.
  21. I will not watch the video. Can barely look at the thumbnail
