I don't think it's wrong to be a bit impatient given how bleak we look at the moment. But I have faith they'll get it right soon. Also thing it's interesting that they're clearly going for quite a big manager immediately, rather than just someone who can keep us up and be replaced.

That Palace academy isn't far from me in Beckenham, near the Kent cricket ground as well. Nice area, pretty big catchment area for kids too, Bromley is the only other significant football club (and it's not that significant). They're really good at comms and marketing as well, their club shops are very slick. I mean, everyone's are apart from ours I guess.

Just show the undue influence of a few clubs. ‘The PL’ as an entity doesn’t exist as such. If it did, it would welcome increased competition and more money/interest/exposure etc coming in the game. It wouldn’t matter to it who won the league.

I think Rafa considers himself still in the very top tier of managers, I don’t think he’d want a DOF-type role yet.

I think on balance I'd rather have someone else than go back to Rafa. Would feel very strange to go back to a manager of the past, when we should be building a brand new thing. Obviously he's class and I wouldn't exactly be disappointed.
