What he’s done with the atmosphere and culture around the England team has been absolutely transformational, last thing you want to do is get back to the revolving door of managers again. It’s almost impossible for a manager to do more than he has anyway. He was a dodgy penalty or two away from winning the Euros, don’t see how you can really seek to upgrade on that.

It’s really bad though, we always pick the cheapest and tackiest option. It’s just an example of how football fans are treated like absolute shit and supplied with inferior products for massive prices.

Fair enough under the current rules, but it could be different. Imagine if he drags Saka to the ground by his hair instead of the neck of his shirt. IMO that was a challenge with quite a lot of violence and danger in it. A yellow card doesn’t seem enough to me.

I feel the same sometimes, guess you just have to remember it’s a minority who behave badly. I hate that part of English culture in general, but they don’t decide what it means to be English. We all do. The tribal nature of football is stupid anyway IMO, I’ve never enjoyed it. I don’t have much idea of rivalry or hatred of other teams at all. I just like watching the skill and the tactics more than anything else.

I don't think Kane was that good. If we had another top-level striker he might not have played. TBF though, he’ll always look awful in games like this when we have so little of the ball. He doesn’t look sharp or fit to me, not sure if temporary or permanent.

Something to be grateful for.

Feel the same, they’ve done brilliantly but it’s such a missed opportunity. And so hard to understand why he wouldn’t go out to exploit Italy’s weaknesses more tonight.
