Not sure you can ever plan to win every game like, but I never disputed the points that the last fixtures were easier the next ones. That's just a fact.
-
One way of looking at it, the other being that we read into what supports our own opinions.
-
Maybe, maybe not, but it's irrelevant to the fact we were in decent form before this.
-
Well obviously, that's how form works
-
Case closed I guess
-
The fan opinion way - good form is temporary, bad form is permanent.

Like I say all the time, cutting inside isn't a problem, surely. Otherwise he would play on the right if his job was to always go outside. Inverted wingers are there to cut inside and get involved around the box, that's the whole point and what nearly every winger in the PL has been doing for years.
-
Yeah, we've been up there for a while, surreal really.

It's mad how we all post about what Howe thinks we haven't a clue
-
I mean, who cares, it's better if he comes good than if he doesn't come good
-
Might be being naive as usual, but I wouldn’t assume the current few months of underperformance is all we’ll ever get from these new players.

Does manager salary count for PSR?
-
I remember the 3D models of what is under the streets of London while Crossrail was being planned, absolutely mental. Like a massive 3D spaghetti puzzle with tube lines, utilities, broadband, sewers and the lot. And they had to drill another railway tunnel through the bastard
-
I agree, I'm just saying that's the theory behind persevering with him in his preferred position. Or that seems to be the manager's judgement.
-
Sure, it's more about getting the best out of our overall resources and that kind of thing though, not really pleasing Gordon per se.
-
The whole point of being an inverted winger is to cut inside.
-
Think that’s mainly confidence and fatigue TBH, maybe lack of time on the training pitch as well.
-
I am starting to get frustrated about how we can't play well, but Howe gets summer and next season for me no matter what so I find it a bit pointless to worry too much.
-
I feel like you could look at any content the week of a manager being sacked Also just sounds like football fans going through a bad time. I mean, any manager who isn't getting good performances is by definition attached to something that you could argue is not working. Otherwise it would be working. We need to decide if the new players aren't Howe players or if Howe has signed too many Howe players and not enough different ones. Both criticisms seem to be levelled at the same time despite basically being opposite.

This is true but shooting too little is the symptom rather than the cause, surely. You can't just decide to shoot more, they just miss or get blocked unless they're from positions and chances where it's likely to work.
-
I think it depends how bad your squad is and how much depth is needed TBH. It's just opinion, and obviously it's easier to upgrade the depth than to raise the ceiling, in theory. Also we lost Isak which meant it was pretty much impossible to end up with a more effective attack than we had last season. Top clubs basically seem to just buy several really expensive players for the same position and keep doing that until one of them clicks. Man U bought an entire new forward line and the most expensive one isn't even playing. Arsenal bought people like Madueke who would be instant legends for us but just rotation options for them. Same with Chelsea and their insane transfer business. Doesn't seem to have any consequences for those clubs.

You don't need to be a nob about it
-
Yeah, fair enough. I'm never really sure on the concept of injury prone though, depends on the assessment of the injuries. I think the injury he got when Longstaff crippled him was just unlucky.
-
Wissa doesn't need to be coached to score tap ins FFS. We need to have more consistent and better patterns of attacking play which result in those chances.
-
I honestly think we should consider Wissa/Barnes the LW options, Elanga/Gordon for the RW and Nick/Osula/New Player for the middle. That actually looks a decent lineup of forwards if they can all find any kind of form.
