I thought at the time that the fans' reaction would be harmful to the team, I think that's fair comment. It's the double-edged sword of SJP. Obviously it's not an excuse, but it's a factor. It was a negative reaction to a negative action by the manager, did he expect to hear applause? No, of course not, I was raging as well. I'm just saying that SJP can be a hard place to play when things aren't going for you. yeah but the theory is its the away side that are supposed to come and struggle with the atmosphere not the home side

I heard that in the clip shown on sky had to rewind and in principal I agree get behind the side but when you collapse all on your own and not due to the quality of the opposition what does he expect another excuse and another reason not to say it was all his fault
-
come back bramble all is forgiven!
-
not being able to play it out from the back has been the main cause of shite football and one of the major causes of pressure we seem to be under even against so called "poorer" sides I just wish we had a back four who were comfortable taking the ball forward.
-
i took it more negatively than that, "aggressive" in terms of haggling over price asking what they wanted and offering the lowest price that is possible to get away with. Paying for things in full and in one go will only get you so much off but we feel that this approach will get millions and millions off the asking price. All in the pursuit of value which really is a subjective thing anyway as one player to some club could be deemed a luxury while others it is essential as to how they are going to play and take the side forward. We don't seem to recongnise that at all.

he is at a charity golf talk tonight wonder if he is getting a hard time or not
-
Well I am more of a radio flciker when in the car so I don't sit and listen any particular station however just happened to land on the show when he is saying stuff about speaking to the club and we are in talks and people will be surprised that we will sign a few this window and more than two. Only to say the club wont pay over the odds and we may end up trying but failing in our targets. I mean I may as well pay someone to eat a mince pie down the phone while I listen to them.

Just had to knock the radio off Mick Lowes on talksport talking shite as usual

we have been excellent in spells but when it comes to the final third we have been none existant too deep? lack of match sharpness? we dont seem to have anyone trying to push on lobs and long passes when they are holding a tight pack just means anything we do is just fizzing out
-
we are trying to hit them on the counter but they always seem to go for the simple ball which draws very few errors when we finally get the ball its either passed sloppy and given straight back or they go tight 2/3 to a player and we seem to panic and have few options passing wise on attack with so many back their defending.
-
we seem to have 5-7 players behind the ball when there are only 2-3 of them in attack too deep which means that can pass it at their leisure in their half it makes for a very one sided game stat wise but doesnt tell the full story
-
on less than half a season he is easily a 30m player we got a bargin
-
do we have the stamina to chase the ball all day long?
-
why has it taken us 39 minutes to start playing?
-
or manage to carry on replacing the "irreplaceable players" with those who are capable.
-
Am I right in remembering that we only paid around 1.5m for him has matured into a very good player indeed nice to have options in the centre
-
It is a combination of luck and finally getting a good quality team together, I know they all arent world beaters but we have had previous seasons where we have only had 1/2 players worth of getting into most teams. We also cannot ignore the fact that the "pack" up front have slowed down for want of a better term they have fucked up which has given a club the chance to slip into the mix. The question long term is will those top teams buck their ideas up and refresh in the summer and push on or will we be able to keep up with them when we have players worth selling and a club that dont have a track record of always plugging the gaps and spending when its needed.

there going to be much uk african nations coverage to have a proper look at him?
-
was expecting one way traffic but the only instance of this is coming from the ref

I have had to mute it cannot stomach such one sided shite

If you are going to start tailing off the best time to do it if there is such a one is near January knowing this club as unpredictable as they if we had of kept the same pace it would have been "no need to strengthen", "this group of players got us where we are now we have to keep faith in them" , "they need to be of better quality than what we had for us to rush out and buy". "if it isnt broke dont fix it, January is a bad time to buy" etc etc etc and while these excuses could still be used now I hope and pray seeing a loss of form in the side and the impending exits of those involved in the cup in January will finally give enough weight to releasing some money on the side being going back for players we missed out on in the summer or going for new targets identified over the course of this part of the season.

not that i want to pretend to know what iam talking about but will the players themselves get similar payments as sighing on fees?
-
only reason i can think is that Speed was the model professional and barton is a child throwing the toys out of the pram
-
he just needs a goal he is doing everything else right.

they are getting plenty of the ball and seem good at closing down in the middle which does mean they are getting alot of possession but they are doing next to nowt with it. Almost hoping we kick it out for a "throw in"
