Simon Jordan is a shitter version of Piers Morgan. He was advertising the covid tests he has invested in earlier today which was fucked.

Fo Footballers are essentially humans by and large so think about how you would act in the same situation in your current working environment if you were out of contract. That's not targeted at you per se, more so the mouth frothing horde in general.

Just let it go through ffs and end this bollocks. It's obviously going to go through in the end. It's just a shit load of red tape on the premier leagues side as a number of clubs have clearly complained to the Premier League as maybe the ownership isn't inline with the current owners and directors test but then if this is how it is going then the test needs to be performed on current owners as Man City's owners would not pass and it's unfair that we can't be taken over from an almost identical ownership that Man City have. Who are the Premier League protecting here? Man City? Liverpool? Chelsea? Spurs? Certainly not Newcastle United or our region in general.

It's just gesturing and threats. They wouldn't put out such a statement if the deal was dead, they would simply instruct legal counsel and build a case against the PL. This is to get it in the press so it's not just out of the blue legal action. It's to get the press writing about the likes of the ownership of Man City to if/when it goes to court there has been a lot written about it and how unfair it is that Man City are owned by a sovereign state and they have breached FFP on multiple occasions. You could argue that they passed the test prior to a change in the rules but its a very grey area in law that is acceptable to allow their ownership to continue but prevent a change in ours. A court couldn't force the PL to let the takeover go through but they could and probably will rule on the side of Ashley in seeking compensation.

We are supposed to be trying to sign some Japanese rightback from bologna for 16M. He is quite highly rated. Its odd as we are actually signing players in the positions we need. Something is going on, I think the takeover must be close.
-
We don't need any fucking centrebacks it's by far our strongest area and we don't really need another striker either unless we are playing four, four fucking two.
-
Didn't ameobi used to look like Maradona in training?
-
My hp correct Well I disagree that Batshuayi is out of our league on loan but when is the takeover going through?
-
He is a decent player he just isn't a young Andy Carroll. He needs to be an outside forward or deeper.

It's almost like Ashley isn't running the club anymore

I think now they have quality manager and a load of money they could challenge the top 4 in the next few years. Like if we had been taken over and had a shit load of money pumped into us. If we had been taken over by PCP, Reubens and PIF, Ancelotti was appointed as the manager and we signed James we would be thinking we would be challenging for the top 4 in the next few years.
-
Ancelotti is their manager now so I expect this to be different. I could see Everton challenging within the next few years.

In the same circumstances with Rafa as the manager or most other fucker other than Bruce I would be excited takeover or not as we have improved our squad for a few years in a row now. Apart from last year, no? I said we have improved our squad for the last 3 seasons. Malo?

These are very good signings and very unlike Ashley, we would never have signed a 28 year old for 20M for example. Maybe he has just told Charnley to run the club so it isn't making a loss now so it's a saleable asset. ..... Or the deal is close and they buying party have guaranteed these deals in some way. We've spent 50-60 Million today in transfer fees and wages on the 2. Another 14 on Lewis(Sign Jethro FFS) plus wages probably takes it to 70-80
-
Yeah, I hope he doesnt look on here. We should be excited by his signing as he seems a good player.
-
Why/how are we spending money

Of course, depth is fine. Just highlighting the inevitable lack of any gameplan at all. You don't need a game plan. Just 11 lads on the pitch grafting their bollocks off.
