WUM or tool? You decide erm neither have alook at man uniteds away support there is usually about one replica top in the whole end. You are the tool. You trying to start a hooligan outfit? The Newcastle Casuals? It's not the 80's if people are that scared wear a jumper and take it off when you get in the ground. it's not the 80's but it's very embarassing seeing our away support decked out in jester hats and black and white tops. Just have to look at Man United and Liverpools fans support probably the 2 best away in the country, could count 20 replica jerseys between there followings. People wear the shirts to show their allegiance to the club and show the players they aren't just at the game for an excuse to get pissed. We might as well all start wearing suits to games, with an umbrella, a cup of tea and a nice cream cake.

I just know if he Keane will have targetted him for the game. If he plays watch the tackles, elbows etc going in on him in an effort to see a reaction, I guarantee it.

That seems to be the problem now dosn't? True, but I've always been fine apart from the odd knobhead shouting abuse. Maybe they are so retarded they can't distinguish between Black and Red.

You have to, I see plenty of Mackems knocking about Newcastle in their strips. It's only the charver's that will actually attack you for that anyway, anybody with reasonable intelligience will just have a bit of banter.

Exactly, official offer's may already be in but they want to keep it private. We'll probably find out on the day the offer is accepted and due diligence begins.

awful dirty mackems v Newcastle United, Saturday 25th October

Had a scan yesterday but I'm not sure what the craic is, they are going to give him a late test on Friday. Although Kinnear said he hadn't had any physical contact in training so god knows how fit/sharp he'll be. -
Will the DOF structure get two clubs relegated in one season?

Probably just wanted Rob Styles. -
it would to us, but the club would still get those parachute payments for the first year, and would force Ashleys hand into a "sale" price. Its possible. A quick promotion and then move forward again in the long run. that is just stupid talk, tell that to leeds and that, who said exactly the same well, quite a lot of people said it was "stupid" to suggest that a successor to Shepherd wouldn't automatically be better, and look what happened there. Whats stupid now ? Seriously, its a possibility, so why rubbish it ? If you don't agree, fair enough, I'm not sure if I think it will happen myself, I hope it doesn't, but it might. well, if shepherd stayed then this club would of went bankrupt within months, and don't give me the re-finance stuff, the banks would of told them to f*** off with it we aren't talking about the club going bankrupt or otherwise, or re-financing. We are talking about who might be buying the club and currently speculating on why it seems to be moving slowly I'm tired of telling you and people like you that the old board saved this club from a position a hundred times more perilous than the current one and don't particularly want to do it again here. Keep repeating it mate, eventually it will sink in and they will take a more circumspective view next time. Some on here, without a clue about how finance works, seem to think we were on the verge of collapse. None of them have ever been able to answer why none of the other clubs in this league with worse finances were not also headed for ruin? The one question that has never been answered is why Newcastle as a footballl club were any different to any of the other clubs who were financially worse run than us? We were not the worst club in the league by a long way. If you have a narrow-minded, insular view of the world then yes, maybe, we were in need of help. However, we weren't in reality, we were in as just a good a position as any other club. Things have changed since then but the principle stays the same. you would think they would learn, but they don't. Their personal agenda must run very deep. Do some of them actually have a mind of their own or are they really happy jumping on the "lets bash the old board bandwagon". The events of the last 18 months should really have shown some true perspective, but it would appear not. They should be really happy that we are in a better financial position than most other clubs, it should serve us well if we have to try to attract players to get us back into the premiership. Which we haven't been since, errr, 1992. Fancy that eh. When will the new owners buy the club ? Are they waiting for the asking price to drop ? What will cause it to drop ? Its not rocket science this. Either that or splash out in January to ensure we avoid the drop. Is soopa mike going to sanction this ? Any new owners would want to be in place by January and do precisely that if they want to preserve premiership status ? The lengths some people will go to rather than admit soopa mike has been found to be hugely inferior to the people they slated is amazing. We'll see. I'm not optimistic. We need a new board in place by the deadline, unless mikey does an amazing u-turn to save his "investment", although he may lob it onto the asking price. What a mess. If it wasn't for Keegan leaving no-one would contemplate relegation, do you blame him? You know fuck alll about our finances before Ashley took over, you can try to tell us we were better run under shepherd but all he did was give the ssn retards outside SJP what they wanted, the difference between our finances and that of other clubs and why they haven't gone under is because we had a champions league wage bill without champions league football and provided Shepherd bought one or more trophy player per season the stadium would still be full and we could just about keep going but for how long? We where going the way of leeds mate, one more summer of Luque's Owen's coming in and we'd have been done if we hadn't got into europe, just like leeds, a big club with a large fanbase and excellent ticket sales. I was expecting a top half finish and see no reason why we can't achieve that still. We have a very good 1st 11 and some decent backup. You only come on here to spout negative shit and you keep on saying the same old shit all the time. Maybe you're right, maybe not but there is no point in wasting time talking the same shit, why don't you just give links to your old posts then you can save a bit of time and bandwidth.

Alright Graham, how's Mrs Poll? what ? he will you can bet on it, its fkn stupid but its what he will say. Was obvious it was red because he was the last man and not because it was a bad tackle, even though Robhinio rolled about like his ankle had been snapped. One thing that may help is where Styles was when he gave it and the fact I am almost sure that the linesman who was inline did not flag for it. yeah I know. I just thought it was funny you saying exactly what poll said. He really riled me last night poll. He was acting so smug I felt like driving down to setanta studio's and 'having a word'.
-
Alright Graham, how's Mrs Poll?

First they go after the same players as we do, now they want to drive their owners out the same way we did? Taking the piss, tbh I like how long its taken the media to get on their backs about having a DOF dsespite them having one for about 5/6 years and we only had one for less than a year. I suppose half of fleet street are probably Spurs fans.

Nail on the head. Who do the idiots found us our best signings of the summer? FFS man, Keegans way too loved in these parts. Coloccini was hardly a "find". I'm not saying he's s****, just that he was already well known and often linked with a move to England. Jonas could be a decent legacy of Jimenez, but one decent find doesn't make the guy a transfer guru. He didn't find anyone! For the last time Jimenez was not a scout and has little knowledge of players, he's a deal closer, a negotiator. Fine then he helped secure our best players this summer. So who found us these players? Vetere

Don't believe the hype, don't-don't-don't believe the hype If he's anything like the arctic monkeys then yes, listen to the man, don't believe the hype.

He's in love with him.

Mike Ashley - Newcastle's best ever chairman/owner.
relámpago blanco replied to Benwell Lad's topic in Football
Once again Bob you've got it spot on. I loved KK and hoped it would work out, but his appointment was Ashley's big mistake. I will now never forgive Keegan for the way he walked out, sure things didn't suit him but he could have been man enough to stay with the team and fans he allegedly loved while a sensible resolution was worked on. It appears that in the days following his walkout Ashley tried everything possible to find a compromise but Keegans only concern was attempting to preserve his pay off. Hence King Kev has said nothing to enlighten those he supposedly loved. Ashley tried everything possible to find a compromise in your mind yes, to the vast majority Ashley didnt compromise rather he refused to limit the mess caused by Derek Llambias (and possibly from Dennis Wise), putting Keegan in a situation most managers would have walked from if you dont know the many supporting facts by now that substantiate this, then your are a deluded idiot. Others are keeping an open mind until they hear the facts which in your case you dont have any facts to back your argument other than: you support Ashley who is walking out and you hate Keegan for walking out. Keegan (nor should Ashley but he tried and failed) cant enlighten anyone because of the legal complications, so why chastise him for that until you know the facts? The question that is still to be answered is why did Keegan leave? Until you post your opinions based on any facts you just end up looking like youre just blindly kissing Ashleys arse. To be fair to Ashley most people would leave if 50000 people wanted them to and threats of physical violence are involved. Even a bloke that looks like Ashley's been attacked. Do you expect him to bring his kids to games and sit in a stadium of 52000 people shouting abuse at him? Keegan maybe should have walked but once Ashley came out and said he was selling he should have come back in the interim at least. If he loved the club as much as people think he wouldn't be able to watch us fall down in this manner. I'm not pro-ashley or anti keegan but our fans and I'm including you in this based on your post have made us look like a bunch of retards who are living in the past.... again I was happy with Ashley, good if only a few signings, the finances where starting to be in order and we had a decent chance of achieving something, he should of sanctioned the deals KK wanted but I've heard many a rumour saying Keegan turned down alot of the picks Jimenez, Vetere and Wise made and we'd have made a much more significant investment had he sanctioned them. Keegan was out of the game for too long and needed the back up on the transfer front, nothing should have went over his head but Vetere (who targets said players) is said to be one of the best scout's in the world. I hope this takeover goes through soon so we can put this mess behind us and hopefully the world will forget the stigma that we have that we are retards but I doubt it as we'll still have the same twats outside SJP talking about things they have no information on, mis-spelling signs and generally talking bollocks. do you mean the 2nd division [ie whatever its called these days], or matching the european qualifications ? Nowt like making out the old regime did absolutely nothing. I mean't we had a chance of bettering last season and having some fun for once. I loved watching that run we went on under Keegan towards the end of the season and we started in a similar vein. I also said nowt about the previous regime unless you consider Ashley to be the previous regime. -
I've got a feeling we might sneak this. They aren't exactly in form and Kinnear is a good motivator, we have the players, we just lacked confidence and having a specialist leftback will help massively and Geremi has alot of experience at RB. Guthrie is also vital as he's basically controlled the tempo of our games when he's played.
-
I think when managers work with them on a day to day basis and see their commitement etc in training their vision of their on the field performances can sometimes be blurred. It's alot easier for Butt to look class in a training session which is obviously not at the tempo of a league game and managers always want experience in their sides.
-
He'll see them in training and I'm sure he'll have watched all of our games this season so he'll know about colo, Jonas, Martins and Zog but he probably thinks Zog is just a poor leftback.
-
I've been waiting for one of our managers to say that for years and then Joe Kinnear says it. f*** Keegan, Kinnear is god.
-
Yeah I was thinking that. Just replace Butt with a tall post with a rubber ball the size of a head in the box and get challinor to aim for it.

I remember fiding it a while back for the PFA registered players. It was like football manager it was well funny Edit http://www.givemefootball.com/transfer-directory Make an enquiry, lol, might see if any fancy a game for my 5 a side team.
