The other thing is, this season AM seems to have decided that he wants to use Petrov as a box to box midfielder, which he patently is not any more. For over a year now, he's looked fucked after 60 minutes, he clearly has not got the legs in him to get forward so much. This then leaves Delph to try and hold the ball in the middle. Now, Delph is a good young player, but those roles should be reversed. Doing it this way is asking for trouble.

Nowt - didn't go, didn't see the highlights either, so am just going on what I've read, which is that our central midfield was feeble again and Tiote and the-other-bloke bossed it. Still unbeaten, though. I think I'm falling out of love with football. I seem totally detached from it all this season. Bannan looked canny. He is. The only thing that gives me any encouragement of late (beyond the kind of "oh well, we won't go down, we won't play in the CL, but it could be worse" type) is that some of the kids look quite decent. I keep saying this, but Gary Gardener will get his break this season and will prove to be the best of the lot.

I was right behind the goal as Ronnie Rosenthal missed his sitter, and that Torres one honestly looks worse. Made more so by the fact he'd done so well to get into that position in the first place. Incredible.

They charge away fans the price of the most expensive ticket for home fans, I believe, which is in line with the PL law that you're not allowed to charge more than that. You're right, though, it is a rip off. It won't make you feel better, but my mate has bought a ticket just along from my ST in the Upper Trinity and it cost him 43 notes, too. What's more, as I stumped out 580 quid for my ST, I'll be taking a long, hard look at the ticket prices this season. What they've effectively done is conduct a summer transfer and manager acquisition period of such utter, utter fucking ineptitude, that they have effectively driven a big wooden stake through the last remaining vestiges of hope at the club. Season ticket sales are down 8,000. They have massively, massively underestimated the fans reaction to appointing McLeish, too. An aura of doom hangs around the whole place. This is the sort of ineptitude we're dealing with. After appointing AM, they realised how much they'd annoyed people, and wrote to previous ST holders to try and gee them up. Here's the text. Spot the glaring ommission. Well, actually, I'll point it out. Not a single mention of on-field aims, of football intentions, of trying to compete. Not one. It reads like a letter to shareholders. I know a few people who were wavering on renewing, got this badly thought out nonsense, and knocked the idea right on the head as a result. The letter makes it sound like we're meant to cheer being one of the top 20 money raking clubs in Europe.

*chuckle* of course, you do realise that now I've said all that, it'll be a 14 goal thriller, don't you? You reckon you'll score one then? No :-(

Super fan. Too old for that nonsense.

How are your bairns coming on? Clark, Bannan & Delfounso, etc...... McLeish has been inexplicably playing Heskey as an attacking midfielder (no, seriously), but he's fortunately injured, which means Bannan will start on Saturday. I think Bannan is going to be a quality player. Delfouneso is the one I don't think will make it. Gary Gardner is the one I really, really want to see get his break as soon as possible, as he's the best of the lot.

43 quid? Jesus fucking Christ. I heard Wolves fans complaining about us charging them a fortune too the other week. I'll let you have some nice pubs to go to if you're looking for somewhere away from beer-throwing mongs in the Cap and Gown.

Should be a cracker of a game then. From what i have seen of you, and what I have seen of us, it is going to be an absolute borefest. Trust me, I have an innate ability to sniff the dull ones out in advance, and this is one of them. I've got a season ticket but am toying with the idea of taking the Mrs shopping instead for the afternoon instead. That's how convinced I am that this is going to be a snoozathon. EDIT - I figure I can at least go to Waterstones, get a copy of the book I am reading currently, find one of those comfy chairs up on the top floor and read for a couple of hours. Then the Mrs will come back brandishing bags of clothes, and happy. That, friends, is the exciting life I lead.

You haven't missed much. It has been very austere and functional. Pretty much like at least half the teams in the PL currently. Just uninspirational, and rather shapeless.
-
Yeah, the problem is, we can't get the ball to him. Watching our match on Saturday, I was only slightly more isolated than Darren Bent, and I was sat 90 miles away.
-
Jenas is injured and won't be fit in time. I will be amazed if this is anything but a draw, and not at all surprised if it is goalless We are very solid defensively these days, but struggle to get the ball to Bent, as N'Zogbia hasn't really settled yet, and the manager is still trying to get midfield right.

Sunderland fans seem to think that the only reason any player ever leaves them is for more money.
-
Add another one to the tally. Very disappointed not to win but good to see we're still able to deliver a good performance. That's the worst I've seen us play for a fair while to be honest, totally undeserved point. I can't bear the thought of another four months relying on Stephen Fucking Warnock.

Absolute daylight robbery if it stays like this, we've been awful
-
I understand Dunne is playing quite well. McLeish seems to have got the best out of him again so far this season.
-
Apparently Diego Swarfega might be allowed out on loan in January. I fucking hope we go for him. The lad's class.
-
I hate Stoke City and their mind numbing brand of football, but you have to say, Pulis has done a very good job of managing that club.
-
I genuinely mean this, but I was under the impression you'd done some decent business this summer.
-
We've lost 15 players and replaced them with 4. Everyone's unhappy these days. it's the new happy. I'm glad I'm not an Everton fan tonight, though
-
No offence, but anyone who thinks Craven Cottage is one of the shittest grounds in the country is beyond redemption. best away of the lot.
-
The crowds around these SSN mongs outside training grounds are even more of an embarassment to our young people than those feral rats we saw out looting recently.
-
The way we're going, we'd probably accept it.
