  1. Arsenal fans and the internet. From the comments to a Guardian article. Talk about not being good at losing. WINNERS AT NUMBER OF YOUTUBE CHANNELS!
  2. Interesting viewing this as an outsider but, and yes I know it’s easy for me to say, it’s a few bad performances and results during an injury crisis, in a season where you’ve got the huge demands of the Champions League added. it’s new territory for lots of people - least of all your manager.
  3. Spurs don't even bother defending, have a fucking go at them! They also clearly can't last much beyond an hour as they're all so knackered from all that Bielsa-esque running around.
  4. yeah but conversely, if that were the case, surely everyone would be doing it!
  5. There is a horrific sense of entitlement in their whining, too. They're not supposed to struggle against the likes of us or you. When they do, it just can't be fair, it must be some sort of plot. Arteta is also one of those cunts, like Klopp, who are all magnaniomous when they've won, but snarky wankers when they've lost.
  6. We've played 4 games in the last 10 days, which is probably why today looked not too much like Man City a few days ago, so I think that intensity is starting to show. However, winning 15 home league games in a row is fucking outstanding, and I'm old enough to see us actually winning the league and plenty other silverware. It's an incredible statistic, 15 games and not dropped a single point, just incredible. Big January window for us, though, get that right plus get Buendia back and Ramsey and Moreno fully back to match fitness, and I think a top four finish is on the cards. I'd fucking love to win the Conference, though.
  7. Yeah yeah yeah, as if anyone on here believes that any more, Toony. We all know you'll be up till 4 this morning watching the match on repeat in your Villa pyjamas. *big hugs and UTV*
  8. Not saying I necessarily think you are wrong with this, but jesus fucking christ, how tedious would it be to see those finish top four.
  9. The big difference is win in Bosnia in a week or so and we forget all about Europe until March It would be totally different if we were playing PSG or Milan rather than FC Tractor Factory and Collective Farm FC. I'd say Tielemans has played himself into the team as much as Bailey has done, he's properly started to deliver on his performances. It feels like we've assembled a decent squad on the quiet. Add Jacob Ramsey, Buendia, Mings (who is massively underrated by everyone who doesn't support Villa) and Moreno (now back) and it looks more than decent. Having said that, last season under UE, we frequently couldn't fill all the seats on the bench and had two keepers listed.
  10. Also obvs, RIP Bentancur *solemn face*
  11. Postecoglu is like Bielsa im some ways. Send them out to run like fuck, all energy, and then see them look dead on their feet on 70 minutes and wonder why. Add in a bit of Ardiles style “who needs defenders?” and you’re there. Their fans will be calling for his head come the new year. Won’t last the season, not a chance.
  12. What I do think is that, even acknowledging we're in the Conference League and not the Champions League which makes things easier to handle, we've probably adapted to it really well. I've been a bit concerned at some of the rotation we've engaged in thus far, but he's proved himself to be right in all of it. If we were playing in the Champions League now, it'd be much, much harder.
  13. That isn't true. We'd play Diaby in the Watkins role and move things around. Not that I think we don't need more options up front - we do - but that is not where our main injury threat lies. When we sold Ings and then Cameron Archer, I thought Emery was nuts. He was right, though, that is a massive part in turning Watkins into what he is today. Also, depressingly because football shouldn't be like this, those sales helped with FFP, esp that of Archer, as a 19m home grown product makes a HUGE difference to the figures. Easily the biggest problem for us would be Martinez being out, as Olsen is dog shit. The second biggest would be at RB as I am not sure Emery entirely trusts Cash and there's limited runway in Konsa playing there.
  14. I know, I know, you're carrying more injuries than Hamas* at the moment etc etc ;-)
  15. We've been without Buendia and Mings since day 1 of the season, Moreno since last season until last week, and Jacob Ramsey since the summer until last week. All very important players for us.
  16. I've been listening to you miserable bastards for 15 years now, i want you to share my joy.
  17. Surely it's easy for you as your manager did similar!
  18. A reminder - this manager arrived a year and two weeks ago, and took a team that was 17th, and only not 18th on goal difference and turned it into this.
  19. Emery has started to get good performances out of him the last few games. It's fucking impressive. I said on here, multiple times, that the only player he hadn't improved was Bailey, and he's been on fire for weeks now. Same thing with Tielemans.
  20. We need to get something before half time, though.
  21. Famous last words but I am starting to think we have a chance on Wednesday.
  22. hopefully Doku will be out injured too.
  23. He's dog shit, I was mortified when we were linked with him.
