  1. Chelsea's unbelievable rate of signing players. I just don't get it I can just about understand that they know what they are doing with FFP, but as for the rate of signings they engaged in in January (ie bat shit) followed by much the same this summer, I just can't believe these are the decisions of lots of people all pulling in the right direction. My prediction for this season is that they're going to have a stinker, and Poch won't last till the end.
  2. Been great in pre-season. Excellent tonight, too. I think he's got the potential to play a big role for us this season, given how many matches we are likely to play.
  3. Played there the first half of our game at Valencia tonight and clearly, won't be doing it next week (i had assumed he would do), much better when Digne came on. Coutinho has looked brilliant these last few showings, and Philogene is going to get the nod ahead of Bailey I think. I also thought Tielemans looked excellent again. It's nice to have options.
  4. Mason Mount just missed a pretty much open goal from about 3 yards.
  5. This. I would be staggered if Levy had really fucked off on holiday at a time like this, mind.
  6. Not only that, but they also are stuck with Moyes - i know he just won them something, but that's never happening again, and the football is eye-meltingly shit to watch - and now they have stories of behind the scenes being such a shit-storm, their players are all looking at the exit.
  7. That just made me snort scotch out my nostrils.
  8. Yes, I know. It's the fact I CANT STOP READING IT. See also, transfer deadline day on SSN. I can't stop. I have never been with a prostitute, but if I did, I reckon that's what I'd feel like after.
  9. Oh, I know. I just hate the fact that I read it.
  10. Does anyone else really hate Fabrizio Romano, with his big dopey fucking face, his tiresome "here we go" bullshit as he taps one in from 3 yards, and his hideous use of the word "gonna" whilst talking about "player x only wants club y" and other shite about "the project"? I know he's normally on the ball, but I fucking hate him.
  11. Wednesday are going straight back down again. The degree to which Southampton kept the ball for the entirety of the LUDICROUS nine minutes added time was embarrassing to watch. Sheffield Wednesday play a sort of unsophisticated, agricultural football.
  12. 30,000 on it apparently. They are expanding - demolishing North Stand at end of this season and rebuilding to take capacity to 51,000. Totally refactoring the space behind it and improving the public realm too. TBF here's not that much space, and where there is space is behind the bits that don't need expanding. The Witton Lane stand (ie where away fans are) is the next candidate to rebuilt, but it has a problem in that any higher and the houses would suffer light issues, so there would almost certainly have to be some property purchasing there (I would hate for us to act as despicably as Liverpool did when they were in this situation, though). The Holte has got a bit of space but is already pretty big. The Trinity Road stand is also big enough, and was rebuilt (in an act of vandalism) in 2000, and backs onto the grounds of a Jacobean stately home in any case, so not sure what the situation would be there.
  13. Indeed. The only reason West Ham are signing them is Everton are skint.
  14. Good then very bad. He got divorced, found a new girlfriend who didn't like football, and he just totally withdraw for years. Basically, a bit like Everton in terms of neglect except without the big spending.
  15. Emery is a massive fan of Watkins, as he does literally everything he tells him to do, and he also works his bollocks off. He's not a fan of players who aren't able to follow instructions. I know no managers are, but with Emery I think it is extreme.
  16. Win things. Sawiris of the two has become the most involved day to day (based in London, whereas Edens is US based) and is not an acceptor of crud (sacked Carpethead on the spot after Fulham last year, sacked Purslow, brought in some real heavy hitters behind the scenes. And of course, grow the value of the club, whilst making it the centre piece of a multi-club portfolio. These guys bought a distressed asset, we were literally hours away from administration thanks to that fucking chancer Xia (Lerner's final act of derelict stupidity not seeing through that muppet).
  17. Archer looks very promising and is not going on loan, but yes, although Diaby can plays across the front, we could do with another striking option. On the flip side, Watkins never seems to get injured. Ah, tempting fate.
  18. Spurs seem to build collections of players rather than teams in recent years. I also think the entire Kane circus is not great, brilliant player though he is.
  19. Cash. He's been trying a system whereby Torres plays a sort of leftmost CB / LB role, depending on the flow of the game. I think we'll see it at the start of the season, at least until Moreno is back. We're going to miss him, he's a massively important part of how we played last year. He's insanely attacking, as you'd have noticed against us last season
  20. Really excited by Tielemans, he was excellent last night, played two truly magnificent balls for two of our goals. Looks like he's fitted in really quickly. Considering Kamara was excellent for us last year, it's a tough call one of those two.
  21. Yes, also Jacob Ramsey, miss first few matches of the season.
  22. I reckon it'll be ... Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Pau, Tielemans, Luiz, McGinn, Buendia, Watkins, Diaby Subs: Olsen, Kamara, Digne, Chambers, Bailey, Carlos, Coutinho, Philogene, Archer ... from us
  23. Wolves seem to have decided to hit the suicide button for some reason.
  24. Tielemans has been excellent this evening. Another against Valencia next week and I can see him starting first match
