I know. I don't know if they are better players than Guthrie though.
-
Unless we buy a better player, Guthrie would get plenty of games next season. There's Europe, the FA and Carling cups and cover for Tiote when the African Cup of Nations is on again. That's not even counting any injuries our first choice central midfielders pick up. I prefer Guthrie to Gosling at the moment. Apart from Tiote, Cabaye, Guthrie and Gosling, we haven't really got anybody else who is recognised, out and out central midfielder (apart from youngsters).
-
Guthrie was fit again and I think he was on the bench a few games ago. The last couple of games he's not been on the bench. Same goes for Leon Best. I don't think I saw Guthrie in the recent training pictures either. Regarding Vuckic, I've heard his latest injury required a knee operation so he's probably on crutches at the moment.

He needs to work on his kicking. He did a couple of dodgy, short kicks which almost dropped us in it yesterday.

Will we qualify for the Champions League? Sadly not...

I doubt it will be easy but we can beat Everton. Their last two results were draws against Stoke and Wolves (both away from home to be fair). Spurs have a London derby against Fulham. Arsenal have to play West Brom in Roy's farewell game. We could do with Liverpool getting at least a draw against Chelsea to keep them back. -
The reason Pardew was saying "Ben Arfa for France" in his interview was obviously because Ben Arfa wants to go to the Euros. If Ben Arfa hears Pardew singing his praises in the media it makes him happy. If Ben Arfa gets picked for France by playing for NUFC he's more likely to be happy playing here. Blanc is a moron if he doesn't see that's what Pardew is doing. It's no different to Mancini saying Man U have easy games left. It was designed to get Swansea and Sunderland to think "Easy? We'll show you!".
-
I didn't see him during the lap of honour yesterday. I wonder why he wasn't there?
-
Danny Simpson had one of those 'air cast' boots on his right foot during the lap of honour so he won't be playing against Everton. If rumour is to be believed he may have played his last game for NUFC.

After 75 games attended in a row. http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Members/PlatinumMembers OK. So I got the half season ticket this season and have renewed for next season. Do I have to wait until the end of next season before I get the Gold membership (25 match point)? Having said that, I currently have 0 match points. I guess people who bought a half season ticket don't get any points this season?
-
Do season ticket holders get free access to NUFCTV on the official website?

Brave man to say "52,000 idiots screaming" and then tell everyone he's going to be a SJP tomorrow.
-
Only the media and the deluded would expect England to do really well at the Euros anyway. Most of the players England have to choose from aren't that good. Most of them play well for their team but shit for England. A lot of commentators have been writing off England's chances for the Euros as there is little time for the new manager to prepare.
-
Roy is nearly 65. England will probably be his last job. What can he do at West Brom? Qualifying for Europe with them is unlikely. He might as well give the England job a go.

Is that his mother or Harry Potter he has a tattoo of? http://twitter.com/#!/lovenkrands11/status/195808203492175872/photo/1

I guess it would be difficult for the FA to be seen to be appointing a self confessed illiterate. Harry should have remembered, "you never go full retard".
-
We got hit by the "Harry's not going to prison" euphoria wave in our 5 - 0 defeat. The following games, up until today's win, was Spurs being hit by the "Harry's going to be England manager" wave. Now the FA reveal their hand and Spurs may well have been unsettled for no reason.

You have to take into account the fact that Wigan were on fire. Everything they did came off. I doubt Pardew playing down NUFC going for 3rd or 4th would have made a difference to Wigan's performance. Would Cisse's two efforts against the woodwork have gone in if Pardew had downplayed our chances of a top 4 finish? I doubt it. -

Man U would have almost tied up the title before they got beaten by Wigan. Arsenal would have thought the same about tying up third place when they lost to Wigan. We're in good company losing to Wigan. For some reason Wigan always seem to play amazingly well at the end of every season. Chelsea can rotate their first 11 substantially whereas we can't. They've almost got two teams. Abramovich is more interested in a top 4 finish and winning the Champions League than he is in winning the FA Cup. I could see Chelsea putting their best 11 available players out against us and rotating the team for the FA Cup final. We're not out of it yet but if we don't make the top 4 we've still had a fantastic season and we know NUFC will be playing in Europe next season. -
We've had a few weekends where every result has gone our way. It looks like this is the weekend where everything goes against us.
