  1. Don't know why Hughton changed a settled back 4. Why was Simpson dropped? Also he keeps dropping strikers who score. Hopefully Enrique recovers from his knock in time for the Middlesbrough game.
  2. He "limped" off according to http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/12/12/barnsley-v-newcastle-united-72703-25365143/
  3. Thought Kadar was a CB? Anyway, it could be argued our settled back 4 was a massive factor in our good run.
  4. Enrique limping off is bad news considering we don't have any cover for left back.
  5. We knew it was going to happen. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,65580.0.html
  6. When I read the subject I thought it was going to be another "win a player for your club" competition. Remember that when someone won £125K through a competition to be used to buy a player for your club? It's probably the only way Ashley would buy a player.
  7. If that was true and he decided to drop his complaint, I'm sure the police can still decide to pursue it, especially if the CCTV evidence shows Carroll as guilty.
  8. I read it that he did but I wasn't sure what "nt" meant. Reading it again it appears to mean "Not".
  9. Agree. The other guy threw his drink and glass first. http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/actual_bodily_harm/
  10. Can't be too bad if the other guy has left hospital already and it's "suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm" rather than GBH. He's an idiot for putting himself in this situation though. You'd think having Barton as a team mate would be all the reminding any of our player's need about behaving themselves and stay out of trouble's way. Worst case scenario, we have Ranger, Ameobi, Lovenkrands and Harewood as cover. On an unrelated issue, I don't like the sound of his fiancee (purely based on the £6,000 diamond engagement ring, £600 designer Miu Miu handbag and Chihuahua).
  11. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/12/05/simpson-could-stay-on-at-newcastle-until-may-61634-25324920/ Which would be cheaper I wonder, agreeing a fee in January or letting a tribunal decide the compensation?
  12. Just out of interest, did Smith give the captain's armband to Butt when he came on?
  13. It's been mentioned. If the ref didn't see it and didn't mention it in his match report won't it be looked at now and Taylor may be punished retrospectively?
  14. I've read that's because whoever sponsors one almost has to sponsor the other too to avoid a Mackem 'Sugar Puffs' boycott type situation.
  15. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-utd/newcastle-utd-news/2009/12/06/french-fancy-challenged-to-keep-up-sweet-form-79310-25330949/ Actually Malky, we got Pancrate for free (which is also what we got our other goal scorer, Lovenkrands for).
  16. I see my error now I've read your original post properly. In my defence, I was distracted by the plague on my council house that came on just after our 2 - 0 win.
  17. http://www.wfcforums.com/showthread.php?t=31445 Glory Horns needs registration to view. I viewed it without registering. I find it funny how some of them don't know the names of our players. I guess they're used to watching the Championship like I am to watching the Premiership. I barely know any Championship players. Good to see the stereotypes still going strong: -
  18. I see Given also saved a penalty for Man City again. He rarely saved penalties when he played for Newcastle.
  19. Jonas according to BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8388867.stm I see they aren't calling it a comfortable win any more: -
  20. I see Milner has scored again for Aston Villa today. He must be getting on for having scored more goals for Aston Villa than he did at Newcastle. Duff seems to be a Hell of a lot more productive goals and assists wise at Fulham than he ever was for us. I wonder why?
  21. Att: 43,050 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8388867.stm
  22. Who says he is any good as a coach? He may have been a top defender in the past but that doesn't make him a top coach. I can't imagine Rooney being a coach in the future passing on his skills.
