Does any one know what that tune is being used on BBC 1 Final Score?

Can't see the club being sold now. If Ashley is staying, it's in his interest (so he probably won't do it if past form is a guide) to bring in a few players (e.g. Lovenkrands, Campbell, etc.) to try to make sure we get promoted. This talk of 'taking the club off the market' is irrelevant. Man U, Chelsea, etc. aren't for sale but if someone offered the owners enough cash I'm sure they'd sell.

It seems inevitable to me that if Moat buys the club Shepherd will be involved somewhere along the line. So Moat is a Shepherd 'Trojan Horse'?

He wasn't "let go". He didn't have a contract. In the same way Viduka, Owen, Cacapa & Edgar didn't. He wanted a new deal, sat around waiting for one, and was told via a letter he wasn't getting one. It might not be the absolute definition of being 'Let Go' but he was certainly 'Let Down' by the club in a very weak way. Beggars can't be choosers though. Would he prefer £0 a week or whatever NUFC offer him? He still hasn't got a new club. At least Newcastle is relatively close to his Scottish home.

Unlike most of the things Mike Ashley does, this arrangement seems to make some sort of sense (if it turns out to be true).
-
I couldn't help but hear, he moaned about it enough. I'm sure he got a lot of sympathy from the ordinary fans considering he is paid probably 3 times their annual average salary a week (before tax). Maybe his management should have noticed what he would be taxed before signing the contract. Well it depends on how you view those sketches on the 'Harry & Paul' BBC show when the posh Southern people have a Geordie (played by Paul Whitehouse) as a pet/source of amusement.
-
I thought Arshavin was going to use his section to complain again about how much tax he has to pay.
-
Hope he doesn't leave. If by some miracle we do get promoted back to the Premier League it would be hard to take playing against the likes of Taylor, Bassong and Beye (Owen not so much). It's not like we'd be able to buy them back. If we do sell him I hope it's for a huge fee.
-
His first touch is quite good. His second touch is what often let's him down. Anyway, well done yesterday Shola, Keep it up!
-
Haha, that smoking gun celebration those bums created during the Robson days, haha - classic. I thought the same as well. I had a good laugh at that. He was blowing dust and cobwebs off the gun.

Ashley talking to Lambias as he shakes his hand - "See, I told you we don't need any more players, in fact, winning 3 - 0 we can obviously afford to sell a few more!" or maybe they were shaking hands on a job well done in getting us in to the Championship?
-
Hearing about Man City reminds me that their owners tried to buy Newcastle first but Mike Ashley didn't want to sell.
-
Looks like Duff is happy to leave NUFC to go to Fulham anyway (and who could blame him?) so we may as well take the money (anything from £4m to £5m quoted in the media). Anyone thinking our reserve players are going to fill the gaps may want to remember that they were absolutely thrashed by League 1's Leeds United Reserves the other day.

I've just noticed no one did forget and this point is covered by the "Who's still available?" thread: - http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,63900.0.html

i thought i read somewhere he has gone back to Rangers? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_5485217,00.html

Don't forget we could also sign up out of contract players after the Transfer Window closes. For example, Lovenkrands hasn't got a new club yet.
-
and isn't Wenger friends with JFK?
-
If Ashley does re-appoint JFK, Ashley/Lambias should wear a devil costume and manically laugh as he unveils JFK at the press conference.
-
Mike Ashley doesn't exactly have a track record of doing things to appease the fans. More the opposite in fact.
