  1. Everton have got a choice of decent managers. Rafa could be one but they have other options. Why go for the one likely to be unpopular with a large number of your fan base? Anyway, Rafa doesn't seem to be anywhere close to being a favourite for the Everton job: - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36282767
  2. To be fair to Everton fans, why should they want Rafa? His home is near them? So what? They'll have the choice of a few decent managers. We actually want Rafa. That will hopefully mean something to Rafa. Most people think more of people who have had to build something themselves rather than be handed it on a plate. Rafa rebuilding NUFC would be much more prestigious and respect worthy than Mourhinio going to Man U or Guardiola going to Man City.
  3. How will we make any losses next season? NUFC will be paid the £80m or so TV money at the end of this season. Next season the parachute payments start. Selling the likes of Sissoko and the other high earning players who want to leave will cut the wage bill. The replacements will be on Championship wages. As long as NUFC get promoted in 1 season they should be fine as far as the Football League Financial Fair Play goes.
  4. If we were as sad as the sad Mackem bastards we could have a whip round for a plane to fly over Sunderland with the banner "SAFC Paedophile Apologists".
  5. A Newcastle win would be annoying in a "What? Now you decide to win?" kind of way.
  6. Who organised and paid to light up the Penshaw monument? Talk about pathetically low standards. What next? An open top bus parade through Sunderland?
  7. That list of expiring PL contracts says Freddie Woodman is out of contract on 30.06.2016. No mention if Aarons though so I guess he does have another year to run on his contract. he's there So he is. Anyway, how accurate is that website anyway? I doubt they know about options to extend contracts. But at least most of them did their best and helped get us promoted as champions. Not many of our more glamorous Premiership signings can say they tried their best.
  8. Ashley's low maintenance model has been a costly disaster. Seriously, paying Rafa £4m a year to sort the whole club out will work out a lot cheaper. I hope it doesn't drag on until June. The work needs to start right now. June would be two weeks wasted.
  9. That list of expiring PL contracts says Freddie Woodman is out of contract on 30.06.2016. No mention if Aarons though so I guess he does have another year to run on his contract.
  10. If Rafa stays he will be a huge draw. We'll probably be able to keep some players we want to keep who would have otherwise left. He'll also attract players who want to play for him. He'd make us the most attractive option in the Championship that's for sure. We'd probably have the pick of loan players too. I know people tend to be very pessimistic but Steven Taylor will not be getting a new contract. He's been injured for most of his time at NUFC. He's also erratic (to say the least) when he is fit and on the pitch.
  11. Sting, Ant and Dec, Brian Johnson and the whole NUFC fan base couldn't come up with enough money. The forum raised a couple of grand in a few days to pay for a server man Do we not think that the fans trying to organise a consortium would possibly bring in additional interest from wealthy folk? Some Thai chap sat at home wondering what he could spend his £40m on. Except Mike Ashley would probably want more than £300m (including the £127m loan to himself).
  12. Sting, Ant and Dec, Brian Johnson and the whole NUFC fan base couldn't come up with enough money.
  13. Unfriend them on Facebook. The worst thing about the Mackems I know is that they don't even live in Sunderland. They live in North Tyneside and have done for most of their lives. If you hate Geordies so much, fuck off from our area and go and live in your beloved Sunderland.
  14. Rafa knows this squad, who to trust and who to get rid of. A new manager would have to spend time accessing the squad. If Rafa decides to leave I hope he passes on his opinions on the squad to the new manager.
  15. If Rafa stays he can get rid of anyone he wants and I won't complain. Only a handful of players can claim to have given their all (Elliot, Darlow, Lascelles, Dummett, Mbemba, Anita (when played at right back) and Townsend). Rafa obviously doesn't rate de Jong as he's only been used for a few minutes as a sub. He's slow and in the 2 seasons he's been here he's been injured more than half the time. Rafa never used Aarons either. I don't know if that's because Rafa prefers to use experienced players or some other reason. Aarons couldn't have done any worse than the other players tried on the left wing.
  16. Just heard on BBC Radio news that "it's been an impressive turn around since Sam Allardyce took over". Fuck off. It took him 29 games and a transfer window to scrape together the points to finish 17th. Wow, what an impressive job. Almost a miracle! Why do the media push this myth that he's done a good job? They forgot to mention Adam Johnson too.
  17. Like we need to intentionally throw the game to lose. It was said with sarcasm. I think the club and players threw the whole season.
  18. Buy players with pace. They may even be useful for the season after if we get promoted. Too many slow players like De Jong, Mitro, etc. The Premiership requires a team to have plenty of pace. It would be good to have at least 2 players competing for each position. Imagine having a left winger nevermind 2. The squad needs balance. No more buying players without knowing where they will play. We've got at least 4 players who would consider their best position to be behind the striker.
  19. And yet our midfield and attack is shite.
  20. Throw the game so Tottenham get 2nd. That will teach Arsenal not to beat Sunderland.
  21. If only those running the club had judged him after those 10 games. They “fiddled while Rome burned.”
  22. I was talking to a Sunderland fan I know a couple of weeks ago. They said they liked Sam Allardyce and said he was also a good manager for Newcastle. I stopped them right there and said Allardyce's Newcastle gave Derby 4 points and Derby's only win on their way to the worst ever premiership season total of 11 points.
  23. Has it actually cost him anything? It's cost the club millions as far as I'm aware, the only thing he will lose out on is premier branding for Spurts Direct. Well it's cost him in so far as he owns NUFC so any money NUFC misses out on he misses out on. As for the £129m debt the club owes to him, who cares? He owes the money to himself. It will no doubt take an astronomical amount of money to buy NUFC off him anyway so a bit more debt to him doesn't make much difference.
  24. Why would he bother? What pearls of wisdom could that fucking shitehawk possibly offer? Maybe he'll say "Newcastle wouldn't have been relegated if they'd kept me in charge".
  25. Well let's see if he does go to Everton then. If he does I won't hold anything against him. Only Rafa knows what he will do.
