That list is wrong. Not all those players are out of contract in the Summer. Use the one on Nufc.com for player contracts. It's not wrong, the nufc.com has question marks as they are not sure. most of that is accurate. Point out who's wrong and I'll find out if I can. http://www.nufc.com/2015-16html/squad.html Samuel Ameobi 06.2017 Haris Vučkić 06.2017 Both got a 1 year contract extension before they were loaned out (who knows why). Carrick is usually injured isn't he? Not what we need.

Ashley isn't going to do a fire sale so unless another club offers close to what we paid for the likes of Mitrovic, Townsend, Shelvey, etc they won't be leaving. We'll need to loan as many decent players as possible from the likes of Chelsea to pad out the squad. Imagine having at least 2 players for each position for once. 2 right backs!
-
Away from home so Wijnaldum must be dropped. Play 4-4-2 with Mitrovic upfront with another striker. Start Janmaat and Sissoko on the right and Townsend on the left. Tell them to get crosses into the box for the strikers. Depending on who is fit, Lascelles should start ahead of Taylor. Taylor is coming to the end of his contract so he's not the future.

If he stays we'll see a massive turnover of players no matter which division we're in. We need a whole new defence, our central midfield can't control a game and we need more goals. Personally, I want to see the back of Coloccini, Dummett, Colback, Anita, Cisse, Gouffran, Obertan, Elliot, Janmaat, Tiote, Taylor, Doumbia, Riviere, Marveaux, Good, Ameobi, Bigirimana, Cabella and Vuckic. A lot of the players you list there will probably make up our Championship squad. The players out of contract will go (maybe if they're stupid they'll offer S.Taylor a contract). Who will buy Riviere or Gouffran off us? Cabella is supposedly sold but it hasn't been confirmed. Why Vuckic, Ameobi and Coloccini got a 1 year contract extension last Summer I'll never know.

Nevermind the new manager bounce, we don't even get the dead cat bounce. How can these players be so abject? They can barely string a pass together. 1st half play against Sunderland and Norwich in must win games was absolutely pathetic. There seems to be no fight, organisation, team spirit, accountability, creativity or leadership on the pitch. I can't see where our next win is coming from nevermind getting enough points to stay up.

I thought he was OK. I can't say I blame him for any of the goals. It's a thankless task being a Newcastle goalkeeper with that shower of shite playing in front of you.
-
Who will want Krul? He'll have been out for a whole season injured and it wasn't like he was in form before that. Having said that, with a year left on his contract they may choose to cash in. He seems to like the area and probably considers himself an adopted Geordie so he may want to stay.
-
It can't be easy to be so anonymous in a 90 minute game. I genuinely barely noticed he was on the pitch. Wherever the camera was pointing, he wasn't there.
-
Obertan, Steven Taylor, Sylvain Marveaux are all out of contract in the Summer. Krul, Dummett, Anita, Cissé, Gouffran, Tiote, Sammy Ameobi, Bigirimana and Vučkić all have a contract until Summer 2017. Contract lengths from here: - http://www.nufc.com/2015-16html/squad.html

Sorry Sunderland. Our team couldn't do ourselves or you a favour. Still, I bet you all cheered that we lost even though it dropped you further into the shit.
-
Can't believe anyone would consider him for 'player of the season'. He played well in a few games. He has been invisible for the majority of the other games.
-
Every member of our squad (apart from the goalkeepers) must have bet on us being relegated going by the 'effort' they put in.

How shit are our outfield players when the keeper always ends up being our man of the match? -

Maybe Rafa dropped him to the bench because he failed to score against Estonia even though he had numerous good chances. -
People abusing him on Twitter? A good reason why players shouldn't have a public Twitter account. I wish him all the best, a lot of our hopes are now riding on him playing well.
-
True but he's also missed some absolute sitters. He has scored against some of the better teams in the Premiership but he's also not scored against the teams of lower quality. I hope he comes up with the goals to keep us up but I wouldn't bet on it. I'd still play him but I'd have Cisse alongside him. Cisse is a shadow of the player he was when he first arrived but I still have more faith in him taking chances than Mitro.
-
He's wasted quite a few good scoring chances for Newcastle this season. If he can't score against Estonia when presented with multiple good chances it doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the season. Hopefully the goal scoring chances will fall to someone who can take them. It's not his fault he is leading the line for Newcastle but I don't understand why some people love him. He's slow and wastes goal scoring opportunities but because he gets angry people love him for the passion he shows. Maybe he'll get better after a season in the Championship. I can't see him leaving. He cost £15m. Which club would pay anywhere close to that for a striker with his goal scoring rate? In hindsight NUFC would have been better off getting Peter Crouch for a couple of million off Stoke. He's better at holding the ball up, winning headers and scoring goals.
-
Yes, I read on The Mag that when unmarked he headed a chance straight at the Estonia keeper.
-
I guess we are destined to be relegated then.

There were reports in the media implying Tiote was a bad influence who had been banished. The next thing we hear he's back from an unspecified injury and is flying in training. -
Remind me again why Sunderland fans think they are "classy".
