  1. Should add to his ban for posting a picture of three clowns on his Instagram account. Thinks he's clever. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32051599
  2. With his injury record this season I don't think we have to worry about another club coming in for him. They wouldn't take the risk. He'll have to prove he can stay fit before he can get a mega wage contract.
  3. If you really think that then you must also think Mike Ashley doesn't care if Nufc are relegated next season. I think he'll try and do what he thinks will be just enough. His asset would be massively devalued by relegation.
  4. I don't hold out high hopes for the Summer. Mike Ashley wants NUFC to stay in the Premiership. The form has been relegation form during most of the season. He'll simply have to invest to ensure Premiership status. We need new centre backs but will Ashley sanction the purchase of a decent centre back or two? If not this Summer then he'll have to purchase at least 2 or 3 next Summer to replace those whose contracts have expired. Jamaal Lascelles is incoming but the ones we currently have will be difficult to shift: - Fabricio Coloccini will probably stay for the last season of his contract as no other club would pay him the wages. Steven Taylor will probably stay for the last season of his contract as no other club would take a risk on him considering his injury record. Mike Williamson could possibly be sold to a newly promoted Premiership side or Championship club. It's also the last season of his contract so he may decide to stay to the end.
  5. So there's supposedly a clear-out planned in the Summer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31995543 The contracts of Ryan Taylor, Jonas Gutierrez, Sammy Ameobi, Jak Alnwick, Remie Streete, Adam Campbell and Lubomir Satka all expire in June 2015. I doubt any of them will be offered a new deal apart from Sammy. We must buy at least one player who can take good free kicks to replace and upgrade on Ryan Taylor. The contracts of Fabricio Coloccini, Mike Williamson, Rob Elliot, Haris Vučkić, Gabriel Obertan, Steven Taylor, Mehdi Abeid, Shane Ferguson, Sylvain Marveaux, Kevin Mbabu and Alex Gilliead all expire in June 2016. Out of all those players I could only see the club possibly considering offering Abeid a new contract. I'm sure NUFC would be happy to sell most of them if they could get a fee. Contract end dates taken from: - http://www.nufc.com/2014-15html/squad.html Media stories have linked Tiote, Sissoko and Cissé with moves away. Personally I'd be happy if we also moved on Anita, Gouffran and Riviere. There will be a lot of rebuilding required and a lot of dead wood to get rid of. The problem is going to be trying to sell the players we want to move on and keeping those we want to keep. We need to build a team around Krul, Janmatt, Sissoko, Cissé, Perez, Cabella and maybe De Jong and Aarons.
  6. Mike Ashley does not agree with the old saying "don't spoil the ship for a ha'p'orth of tar".
  7. Each place is worth around £1.3m. Ashley calculates that he'd rather not spend £10m on a couple of players as it might only result in finishing two or three places higher up the table.
  8. Sissoko really isn't playing for a move is he. No club would want him based on the way he has played for the last few months. I see the officials continue to kick us while we are down.
  9. I see the quiz experts from BBC's 'Eggheads' have predicted Newcastle 1 Arsenal 0. They may be great at quizzes but their football predictions are highly unlikely. Mark Lawrenson has gone for Newcastle 0 Arsenal 2. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31962007
  10. I was talking to a Sunderland fan at work. He doesn't go to games any more. He said he'd rather they were relegated so they could go back to winning games in the Championship. NUFC and Sunderland are like two bald men fighting over a comb. These days Sunderland fight to finish just above the relegation places and Newcastle give up half way through the season.
  11. If Carver does get the job full time then that's Mike Ashley done with NUFC in the Premiership. I can't see him risking that so he'll appoint a proper manager/first team coach. Even a good manager will need some decent players. Most of our squad isn't Premier League quality.
  12. Our squad has no strength in depth. The first 11 isn't even that good apart from a few players.
  13. They'll probably put transfer requests in and who could blame them?
  14. The 'normal' NUFC staff can kiss goodbye to that top 10 related annual bonus (if they hadn't already given up on it months ago).
  15. To be fair, that's high praise coming from Mourinho and Chelsea.
  16. Some funny comments on http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/30498544 As others have said, when the Premier league is mentioned by some as the best league in the world they usually mean entertainment wise (the bottom team beating the top, etc) rather than the quality of the teams in it. As for "English" football, most of the teams are mainly made up of foreign players and are usually managed by people not from England. The owners of PSG are just doing what the owners of Chelsea and Man City have done, I.e. trying to buy success.
  17. Start?! They've been like it ever since I can remember Do they? I don't associate with any Man U fans and I don't listen to their club staff. You'd think the amount of dodgy penalties and decisions they've got over the years they wouldn't have the cheek to say refs are against them.
  18. Man U will be livid that their cheating isn't getting their usual rewards.
  19. How long until people affiliated with Man U start saying the refs are against them?
  20. In response to Paul Scholes' comments Cissé should post on his Twitter page that famous picture of Paul Scholes' cock. I laughed with I saw Gary Lineker saying how it was disgusting. It is Gary but you're the guy who s*** himself and then proceeded to wipe it all over the pitch mid game. Now that's disgusting.
  21. The club weren't making him play. If anything, Cissé has been insisting that he's fine to play.
