Every athlete has lingering issues with their body that they don’t bother fixing because careers are short and they want to maximize their earnings. Once you make the decision to get an op, it’s essentially impossible to prove that there’s zero medical justification. Kyrie threatened to do this when he got the Cavs to trade him to Boston, and Isak is at least as dumb if not more.

He could choose to get elective surgery to correct his niggly injury from last season and we’d have essentially zero recourse.
