  1. Why? Samba will be looking for a way out. If arsenal and wengar are stupid enough not to take him we would be a good bet Hangelaand may be a bit mote difficult We'd be a sideways move for both of them and those generally don't work out too well. If nothing else Fulham and Blackburn would demand absurd fees.
  2. Come on Chelsea. Lets try and make this remotely interesting at least.

So Vukic is a key player now? interesting.
  7. I've wanted him for 4. Ive been scouting him since he was a wee kipper in Sweden. I've wanted him since his ancestors descended from Asgaard or whatever the Swedish creation myth is supposed to be.
  8. Whatever he's doing he's without a doubt better than our old "scouting" system.
  9. Eh, I don't mind. Barely ever notice what the Keeper's wearing anyway.
  10. I just don't like Puma shirts. Something about them is just off.
  11. So miss three games, to protect him from missing three games? He's two bookings away, anyway. In which case he's only missing two games to protect him from missing three games therefore I'm right. Hah. Take that. Hah.
  12. should sit out the rest of the season then. complete no brainer.
  13. It's a good thing the club doesn't judge players based on the bifurcated standard of "amazing" or "not good enough for the prem sell immediately."
  14. Some old, malnourished guy from the 1890s that none of us has ever heard about.
  15. Interesting that none of the teams relegated from the Prem came anywhere near coming back up.
  16. How often are the papers right though? They only linked us with Tiote after we'd bid. Exactly !! 99.99% of the stories are made up nonsense, especially so in our case with the way the press treats us....i never can figure out the worry about the rumours, its a bullsh**. Well I'd say some are born with thought we were linked with Puncheon he doesn't look likely to stay at Blackpool and we have a cheap owner. That's exactly what they are though, wild guesses. "Hmm... I need to fabricate a story today to fill my quota -> NUFC probably need a winger -> Ashley is a cheapass -> Pardew used to manage Southampton -> voila, Puncheon!"
  17. When's the last time we actually signed someone the press were linking us to at this stage in the season? Answer: never (or maybe Sol Campbell?)

If we're going by available squads right now, Sunderland.
  19. Hell f***ing fire. Honestly don't know how people can come up with statements like this at times. Yes, of course they bloody have. We wouldn't still be in the division. Cast your mind back to 08/09, and see the effects of a dressing room that genuinely couldn't give two shits. 'Better' players, too. Today we finished the game with Kuqi and Ranger upfront. And we're still comfortably ahead of the relegation pack. Yes, the players care. It's the kind of infuriatingly hyperbolic nonesense that some people can't resist after a defeat sadly Blasphemy! How dare you imply that we don't have the worst, most unmotivated players in the league that we'll all sell anyway?
  20. You remind me of myself when I was 15. Looking in the papers and experiencing feelings of glee when the likes Seyi Olofinjana and John Utaka would score meaningless goals. I feel pity and empathy towards your situation. To answer you inquiry, throwing away top spot in the league to such a poor team and player is obviously very disappointing. Do you think it would be intelligent for Newcastle to sign Park Chu Young if Monaco are relegated? This is Korea man. We don't outgrow nationalism here. He really is ninth choice though. Remember the tragic story of Lee Dong-Gook from Boro? Well, he's one of the eight. As for Park Chu-Young he'd be a great signing if we could buy both him and an actual goalscorer who he can play alongside so he doesn't have to carry the burden of being the main go-to-guy for goals. I'd also myself to death because he's my favorite player ever.
  21. Okay, was just reminded of that for some reason. Was a wonderful moment.
  22. Getting good fees for players is pretty much the only thing I trust Mike Ashley to do properly tbh.
  23. Nearly completely irrelevant, but was that last minute equalizer by Beye against Birmingham during the relegation season also a Jonas corner? Or was that goal even during the relegation season?
  24. I think the body language thing is overhyped. But the fact that he hasn't said anything remotely convincing about staying at the club speaks volumes. I thought people were exaggerating earlier on but if he isn't willing to commit at this stage (miles safe), be it in conversation with the supporters or with a pen and the board, i think we can guess he's pretty much out the door. Desperately disappointing. I agree that the media silence from both him AND the club says a lot more than his body language.
  25. You were trying to be funny there right? I'm never sure.
