  1. That would be completely pointless. Why would MA willingly pay AP off to appoint a guy whose job it has been to coach/drill the same playing personnel whose failure has led to the Manager being fired? Not to mention that Carver does not have the PR skills of AP. Something that MA must value pretty highly as AP is always called upon to go over and above the normal manager press conference stuff. Nobody sane will take the job. He'll probably pull off a few decent results as caretaker and get it by default.
  2. It'll probably just end up being Carver imo

    Alan Pardew

    DOUBLE manager of the year.
  4. Hasn't been here long enough to have all the hope beaten out of him.
  5. I'm convinced that it will be 4-4-2 as soon as Jonas is fit and we'll have him left wing with Remy and somebody else in the middle. Same here, Probably Ben Arfa RM, or Sissoko as Pardew is that thick. Leaves Tiote and Cabaye in the middle. Anita's out imo, again because Pardew is one thick fuck. He's perfectly capable of making us lose without unnecessarily convoluted personnel choices.

    Alan Pardew

I dare say it will just continue in a similar vane. Plenty of rubbish with some decent bits thrown in here and there, providing everyone stays 'fit' (uninjured would be a better, made-up, term). Hmm, that just about describes almost every year I've supported Newcastle.
  7. First time I've seen him bothered for ages.
  8. Probably the long-term replacement for Colo rather than a partner. Not too bothered about his horrific form. Colo was even worse his first season. The Premier League takes getting used to for CBs.
  9. Pretty much confirms that they can do it when they're bothered. They're just not most of the time.

    Alan Pardew

This halfway decent second half performance is going to save his job isn't it
  11. Cabaye's chasing balls like he cares. I haven't seen this in ages.
  12. That might be the best goal I've seen since Cisse's UFO. The context is totally different of course
  13. Injury or altercation would make sense. Knowing Pardew it'll just be tactical. I'm guessing minor tweak and he just doesn't want to bother risking him for a lost cause.
  14. It's a pretty clear sign that the players can't be bothered when you start seeing a larger percentage of long shots and early crosses.
  15. He actually put Williamson on :yao: :yao: :yao: :yao: :yao: :yao:
