Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if Saturday's effort is pitiful, considering the numbers going.

    Were you there on Monday?
  3. Yeah I went to all of the TW/WT derbies from 1989 to 1993 and never saw any trouble at Roker. In fact, in the 2-1 win in 92 I was in the Fulwell end, and it became abundantly clear that there were loads of NUFC fans in that end, as loads of them started making their way down to the front. This was because the coppers could be seen escorting NUFC fans, who identified themselves, out of the Fulwell and along the pitch up to the Roker end. Me and my mate casually walked down the Fulwell steps, clear and obvious NUFC fans, and nobody said boo to us. We didn't make it out of the Fulwell though, and I ended up getting hoyed out when Sunderland equalised. That's another story though.
  4. Was this the 3-1 win in 1992? I was at that one and I must have been one of the few people who saw no trouble whatsoever. I do remember making sure that I wore no colours though as Boro had a reputation back then of being rough. Was a brilliant night that though. I'd been to Ayresome a season or two before when they stuffed us 3-0 so it was immensely satisfying to put them in their place. We were on our way up via promotion and they were were on their way down from the Prem via relegation.
  5. Already conceded that point a few pages back bud.
  6. You could have just said that my wording (disgrace) was a bit OTT but you took it further by getting personal. Sorry, but I'm not having that. Agree to nip it in the bud now though. We move on.
  7. Jesus, you dont know when to stop digging do you? You thought it was perfectly fine to highlight a perceived flaw in my character since I used a slightly emotive word on a football forum. Of course, it wasn't the team performance that was the issue...it's me as a fan that is the problem here. Log off mate, your having a mare here.
  8. None for me. Not for the level of performance. That was a Steve Bruce team out there.
  9. That performance was utter rubbish. There were no redeeming features and nothing to take encouragement from. The manager is doing a really poor job right now. I don't want the manager to be sacked. Not now, not next week & not at any point in this season. Even if we lose again on Saturday in the derby. Does that clarify things for you?
  10. There's not a single person on this thread that has said he should be sacked. Not now, or any time soon.
  11. The truth hurts. He was the one who got personal...."there's summat wrong with you mate, your too entitled". Bullshit.
  12. The very fact that you accused me of being "entitled" for daring to have an opinion on a football forum is a glaring example of your gaslighting. Go and look it up before making your next post.
  13. Stop being a gaslighting prick and you might not get any abuse then eh?
  14. Ironically, of the two of us, it's you who is the one being over-emotional. Quite the achievement that.
  15. Shut up you moron.
  16. The scoreline was completely skewed by our two goals which came from nothing. If we'd lost by 5 or 6 nobody would have blinked. We were nothing less than a disgrace tonight.
  17. "We weren't that bad" We were absolutely fucking atrocious for the entire 90.
  18. In trouble means ferocious criticism coming his way. Nothing to do with his job being under immediate threat.
  19. Nobody is calling for his head. A few on here are desperate to be seen as super-fans when it comes down to the manager though. Right now though, the simple fact is that the manager is doing a rubbish job. That means he will deservedly be feeling the pressure, nothing more than that.
  20. Looking very much like a bang-average manager right now. Lose the derby and he is in big trouble. The last few weeks have nibbled away at his banked credit. A loss to Sunderland will take a very big chunk from it.
  21. Similar here. I've made a mental note to myself to not overreact if we lose the derby. But fuckin hell it will be difficult to do. Think I might just log out of all things football for a fortnight.
  22. Maybe it's something to do with losing at home to Cambridge & away to Sheffield Wednesday in the previous two 3rd round draws? Both of them were League One teams. So why are we guaranteed to smash a play-off chasing Championship team?
