  1. Does he do anything well apart from being a fast runner? Massively underwhelming so far.
  2. In other words, “let the backtracking begin”. We won’t be demanding £150m and the dippers won’t be paying it either.
  3. Not sure if this link has already been posted but he is deffo the Isak replacement according to this source.
  4. In other words, we have been full of shit and buckled. I’m beyond pissed off that this is going to happen. It sets a very dangerous precedent for future departures. We just look weak and like cucks to a so-called bigger fish.
  5. Good shout actually. Christ, got to hope Amorim sneaks some wins in soon.
  6. Couldn't believe he didnt have the balls to watch a pen shoot out against fuckin Grimsby. What a coward. We need to get Eddie a new contract cos this lot are gonna come sniffing around him.
  7. Honestly would not rule it out. On redcafe they seem to have turned on Amorim already.
  8. The dippers are never paying anywhere near £150m for him now that Ekitike is looking the business for them. The Isak purchase would be a completely opportunistic one for them and if it doesnt happen they can walk away and shrug, knowing they have significantly destablised a rival for possibly a season.
  9. We'll see. I think last night might have made them rethink, based on how much damage Isak's presence could do to the squad's morale.
  10. Not surprised about the news of him refusing to back down in the meeting. Al-Rumayan's face at full time was a big give away, he looked sick as fuck and probably shocked that they have had no effect on Isak's stance. Now they hopefully realise how much they have been sleeping at the wheel to get to this disastrous point.
  11. We are going to buckle on this aren't we? It will be a 2nd bid of £120m with a few add ons and we will cave. The way this has been handled by the owners has been nothing less than completely shambolic. When Isak announced his "exploring options " statement weeks ago the club should have shut it down instantly with a statement of their own saying he wouldn't be sold this summer for any price. Unfortunately we are a rudderless ship right now and are being run in the most incompetent fashion imagineable. If this level of leadership continues they will have a fight on their hands to keep the manager. I noticed Man U fans on redcafe last night saying they want Howe if Amorim goes tits up.

    Yoane Wissa

Exactly this. There is very little comparison with Wissa's situation & Isak's.
  13. He will be back in the team by the end of September at the latest. I've always thought that.
  14. It's about time NUFC put this sorry saga to bed with a statement saying he's going nowhere.

We are gonna have to overpay for this guy now. Give them £50m for him and keep Isak in the reserves. We absolutely cannot be going into this season with Gordon and Osula as strikers. If we do then this season is over before it even begins.
  16. I will be absolutely livid beyond all measure if we let him go to the dippers. This is a massive test of how we want to be seen to the rest of the football world.
  17. Hilarious stuff really, and a desperate last roll of the dice by him. The club cannot buckle here. He has to be a NUFC player on September 2nd.
  18. I’m just looking for balance in this. I detest Isak’s behaviour in all this but I just wonder how much of it is driven by his agent. It’s one thing to want to move to another club but something else to see it play out like this. I just doubt that the player is as cold and calculating as being presented, but he is certainly showing himself to be very stupid in allowing it to carry on in this fashion. If he comes back I certainly will never idolise him again, but I will definitely will him on to score goals. His contribution to the progress of NUFC is all that matters.
  19. In football terms? There’s no such thing as far as I’m aware. In all walks of life there can be all sorts of reasons why a person tells their employer they won’t be coming to work for a period of time. If Isak is still a NUFC player after September 1st I bet both the club and the player completely refute that the player was ever on strike. I can literally envisage Howe in a press conference saying “Alex wasn’t in the right headspace to contribute to the group”.
  20. Of course I don’t. I’m sure Eddie did everything he could to talk Isak around but the player has said he can’t/won’t until the situation comes to a head one way or the other.
