Could arguably lead the line for the next decade. Aye, but we'd have to pay him as well and I doubt he'd accept Sports Direct mugs as payment. Hahaha. Portsmouth/Leeds. Hahaahah. Yup, this thread in a nutshell of late.

The 20-year-old attracted interest from Newcastle boss Alan Pardew after scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances for the Spanish second tier side. Perez started his career at Tenerife, progressing through the youth ranks, but is relishing his new challenge at St James' Park. "I'm very happy to be here to start this new adventure," he told the club's official website. "I'm very eager for it to begin and I'm very pleased to play for this magnificent club. "Any football player would be interested in playing for such a club and I will earn my position to get in the first team." And Pardew added: "We're delighted to confirm our first signing of the summer and very pleased to have Ayoze at Newcastle United, as a number of other clubs were chasing his signature too. "He had a terrific season in Spain last year and is a player who we hope to develop further on Tyneside. "He's only 20 but has a very good eye for goal and that's a great asset for any young player to have."

I'm the same but what's your thoughts on why we buy. Do we (as we should if you back the manager) buy players Pardew wants, or carry on trying to buy Carr's recommendations which we aren't because we're unwilling to spend as they're decent players. Fwiw i wouldn't buy any player Pardew recommends, ever. I think we're fucked, if we buy Pardew's it'll be awful, if we try for Carr's we'll end up with nothing. I'm hoping for now we'll be able to buy our way out of trouble and paper over the cracks in the short term, but we'd have to spend a good chunk this summer for me to keep my interest. We can't really win as fans currently. Obviously, I'd LOVE for us to be free of pardew and ashley but that shows no signs of happening anytime soon sadly. All will be decided this summer, and if we fail to spend over £20m, we'll be heading for relegation.

This summer is the decider for me. If we spend some cash and get in some quality, I'll give them a chance, but if it goes the way it's gone like the past few windows then I'll probably stop following us for a long time. I just get very little joy these days from nufc and that's obviously the most important thing for me. Time ticks on and we have zero to show so far.

I think the problem here is that he's probably a bit thick. A bit of a div.

I hope Yanga doesn't leave, because IF we do get Cabella, they'll have played together in the past (same club wasn't it?) so may have a good understanding between them. That'd make too much sense though, to have yanga at cb, cabella in the middle, so yanga can push through when going forward and play simple balls into cabella to work his magic.

Glen Johnson will give away a crucial penalty that kicks us out of the WC, mark my words. His monumental blunder will come!
